New "Superman" Movie Photos Leaked - See David Corenswett's Full Suit, Lois Lane, Mr. Terrific

Looking forward to James Gunn's new "Superman" movie? The latest "Man of Steel" movie may not be released until 2025, but a large number of behind-the-scenes photos have leaked, courtesy of Cleveland.com, as filming continues in Cleveland, Ohio.

The leaked photos give us a better look at David Corenswet in costume than the original costumed look (above) released in May. He is certainly a step away from the gritty look of Henry Cavill's Superman when Zack Snyder was at the helm, and even has a flowing red cape and yellow crest.

These photos appear to have been taken while the crew was filming some sort of action sequence. Lots of debris has been piled up and emergency services are on the scene. We also see Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) alighting from what looks like a spaceship and Superman accompanied by another hero, Mr. Terrific (played by Eddie Gathegi).

Mr. Terrific is arguably the least well-known character in the new "Superman" film. For those who are not yet familiar with Mr. Terrific, here is a brief summary of who he is and the many skills he possesses.

Two DC heroes have adopted Mr. Terrific's mantle. The first, Terry Sloane, appeared in Sensation Comics #1 in 1942. He was possessed by the Spirit King and killed by the Flash. The current Michael Holt assumed the name Mr. Terrific in 1997. Since the film adaptation,

according to DC's character biography, Mr. Terrific is a superhero whose mission is to solve "people's problems." Michael Holt is a perfectionist and has pursued excellence in all aspects of his life.

He has earned doctorates in a variety of fields, earned black belt status in various martial arts, become an Olympic gold medalist, and founded a top-notch high-tech company.

His efforts are aided by "T-Spheres," flying technological devices he developed that respond to his mental and vocal commands; the T-Spheres serve as powerful weapons and can fly by supporting Mr. Terrific's weight. In addition, they can be used for communication, holographic projection, shielding from most means of detection, and operating other devices.

We know that James Gunn has had an interest in Mr. Terrific for some time; in November 2022, he shared the cover of Alex Ross's JSA #76 featuring Terrific and T-Spheres.

David Corenswett, Rachel Brosnahan, and Eddie Gathegi are not the only ones set to appear in the new "Superman" movie.

In addition, Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor, and Anthony Carrigan has been cast as Lex Mason, the archaeologist who becomes the superhero, Metamorpho. In addition, Vanity Fair has confirmed that Isabella Merced will play Hawkgirl and Nathan Fillion will play Green Lantern Guy Gardner.

Supporting roles include Wendell Pierce as Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White, Skyler Guisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Maria Gabriela de Faria as the engineer, Sara Sampaio as Lex Luthor's aide Eve Teschmacher, handyman Terence Rosemore as Otis. Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neval Howell will also appear as Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively.

It is also possible that "House of Dragons" Season 1 alumna Millie Alcock will appear as Supergirl. Her casting has not been confirmed, but as Deadline reported when her casting was finalized, she was said to be working on another DC project before appearing in the solo film "Women of Tomorrow." That means she could debut in Gunn's "Superman" movie next year.
