Motorola "Razr Plus 2024" is here - Here's the full list of new AI features

There is a strong argument that AI will be a major selling point in current smartphones in 2024, and judging by the excitement around the Apple Intelligence and Samsung Galaxy S24, that is a valid argument. With that in mind, Motorola has announced its next flip phone, the Motorola Razr Plus 2024 (Motorola Razr 50 Ultra outside the US).

While not an AI powerhouse like the iPhone 15 Pro or Samsung's Galaxy S24, Motorola did reveal some AI features that will be included in the next generation of Razr phones. However, while some of the features are quite impressive, several will not be available upon release. These features include several commands that allow users to summarize conversations and capture moments live on the phone's screen.

However, the Motorola Razr Plus 2024 will be released with some nice AI additions, including integration with Google's Gemini Nano chatbot. using Gemini on the Razr is simple, just press the power button and say "Hey Google." All you have to do is say it. Users can also ask questions, learn more about topics, and plan events; it may not be as powerful as ChatGPT, but it's still a great feature.

In addition to the Gemini, the Razr Plus 2024 also features several AI-driven camera upgrades, thanks to a new photo enhancement engine that allows users to take perfect photos and videos. These features include Action Shot, which uses AI to pre-recognize the subject's movement and adjust shutter speed accordingly.

Motorola has also included Advanced Long Exposure, Adaptive Image Stabilization, and Super Zoom, a feature that allows users to capture creative movement with a single tap.

While these features are certainly pleasing, they are a bit bare-bones compared to other devices. For one thing, there is no mention of generated wallpaper, which is seen in several variations on Samsung and Apple phones. For example, Apple Intelligence includes a connection to ChatGPT, the ability to generate images and emojis, and several support options to help users get the most out of their phones. However, it is limited to the latest iPhones only.

Motorola has added as many new features as possible to its upcoming foldable, and the AI capabilities are powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is impressive for a device in this price range. However, compared to some of the big boys, it falls short. Our review of the Motorola Razr Plus 2024 will give you the full picture of whether this phone is right for you.
