Samsung Unpacked is set for July 10 - Get ready for the biggest Samsung event in years!

Samsung will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris in two weeks. And while the July 10 event is sure to unveil the latest Galaxy foldable phone, many more products are expected to be introduced.

The Summer 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event will begin on Wednesday, July 10 at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. ET/2 p.m. ET, and as is customary with Unpacked events, Samsung will be streaming live from its online newsroom on YouTube as is customary for Unpacked events, Samsung will also be live streaming the event on YouTube from its online newsroom.

Usually, Samsung's latest foldable phones are introduced at summer Unpacked events, and this year is no exception, with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 rumored to be coming soon. However, the invitation to the July 10 event not only specifically calls out the new Galaxy Z models, but also mentions "the entire Galaxy ecosystem," raising expectations that more than cell phones will be on the agenda.

Whatever hardware Samsung announces on July 10 will include AI-powered features. Samsung promises a "new phase of mobile AI" in its upcoming product announcements. In addition to the silhouette of the foldable device, the Unpacked invitation also features the increasingly familiar Galaxy AI logo.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6: Normally, a new foldable phone would headline the Unpacked event, but rumors surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 suggest that at least in terms of hardware changes, these sound like very run-of-the-mill updates.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will probably see the biggest upgrade, with reports that the main camera will be upgraded to 50MP from the 12MP sensor Samsung has always used on the Flip. A new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will likely power the phone.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 should see the same chipset upgrade, and there are rumors that Samsung is looking to change the aspect ratio of the cover display. A wider aspect ratio could make the screen easier to use, especially typing.

The biggest addition to the foldable may be the new Galaxy AI feature, as Samsung continues its push into artificial intelligence capabilities. The company has confirmed that AI will be a major focus of these two phones, even hinting that there may be a Galaxy AI addition that takes advantage of the unique foldable form factor.

Galaxy Ring: Samsung already teased the new wearable Galaxy Ring at the Unpacked event in January, and we got an up-close look at the Ring at Mobile World Congress in February, July 10. Unpacked should reveal more details about the Galaxy Ring.

A potential competitor to the Oura Ring, the Galaxy Ring is supposed to monitor health data, as it is rumored to do heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. Samsung has already talked about a My Vitality Score feature that would take workout data and sleep statistics and calculate wakefulness.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra: Given Samsung's penchant for launching new watches late each year, a revamp of its smartwatch lineup is also likely; the Galaxy Watch 7 will have a square design, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra will have a new, more compact design, expected to introduce a new processor that will enhance performance and battery life. Rumored new features include sleep apnea detection and integration with the Galaxy Ring.

The bigger story is likely to be the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which Samsung is said to be producing its own rival to the Apple Watch Ultra. Samsung has basically confirmed that such a device is in the planning stages, but we have yet to hear what features will distinguish it from the regular Galaxy Watch.

Other possibilities: especially since Samsung has spent a long time between updates of the Galaxy Buds. (The Galaxy Buds Pro 2 was released last year, while the Galaxy Buds 2 has been available since 2021.) One would imagine that earbuds are fertile ground for Samsung's preferred Galaxy AI feature.
