Excited about Scarlett Johansson's latest "Jurassic World 4" film.

Ahead of her appearance in Greg Berlanti's rom-com "Fly Me to the Moon," Scarlett Johansson has confirmed rumors that she will front "Jurassic World 4."

As someone who didn't like "Jurassic World" much, "Dominion" was quite disappointing: I didn't like "Jurassic World: Dominion" much and was quite hesitant to see the franchise continue any further, at least for a while. That's because, despite a number of sequels, I didn't think any of them had managed to capture the magic of Steven Spielberg's original adventure. [But Johansson's recent comments to ComicBook.com (in which she revealed why she wanted to be involved in the project) may have changed my mind, at least a little.

Johansson was asked what about the new "Jurassic Park" sequel convinced her. 'Everything,' she said. 'I'm a huge fan of "Jurassic Park,"' she said. It's one of the first films I remember seeing in the cinema. I remember it so vividly. It was life-changing. It shook my heart. I can't even begin to describe how excited I am."

She also admitted that she had long wanted to be in a "Jurassic World" movie, adding: "I'm a huge fan of the franchise and a huge nerd. I'm a big fan of this franchise, I'm a big nerd, and I've been trying to get involved in this franchise in any way, shape, or form for over 10 years.

"'I'll die in the first five minutes! I'll be eaten alive by anything! I'll do craft services!' And you know what? I'll do anything to make that happen. I really can't believe that it came to this at this point in time. I can't believe it," she added.

In addition to her own excitement, Scarlett Johansson was eager to promote the script, already intrigued by the fact that it was being written by David Koepp, the author of "Jurassic Park. The script is so great," Scarlett said. David Cope wrote it. He came back after 30 years to write the script. He's very passionate about it, and it's just wonderful."

Combine that with Gareth Edwards' comments earlier this year that "this is the only movie where you drop everything like a stone and jump in" and "this opportunity is like a dream come true for me" (via Collider), and the next trip to Isla Nublar (or wherever the dinosaurs might appear next) could end up being a dream come true. I have a feeling that my next trip to Isla Nublar (or wherever the dinosaurs might turn up next) will be a worthwhile continuation after all. [As of this writing, "Jurassic World 4" is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025. At the time of this writing, major filming is currently underway in Thailand and will also be shot in Malta and the UK.

Although most of the film's plot details have been withheld, the film is also billed (according to Variety) as "Jurassic City," and is advertised as "an all-new attempt to launch a new Jurassic era about three adults and three teenagers who are stuck on an island."

This description is also used to describe the film.

As one might imagine from this description, one would not expect to see the stars of the previous film in this one.

In addition to Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey ("Bridgeton"), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, Mahershala Ali, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda are set to appear. Their roles have not yet been revealed.

If you want to see the latest film again, you can stream "Jurassic World Dominion" on Starz.
