Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Max Streaming Release Date Announced - This is why it's one of my favorite movies of 2024.

[Godzilla x Kong: Neon Genesis Evangelion] will be available on Max in a few days.

Max recently confirmed that the latest Monsterverse hit (still the third highest grossing film of the year) will be available on one of the best streaming services on Friday, July 4.

In other words, we'll get to see two of the most famous monsters put their differences aside (after facing off in "Godzilla vs. Kong") and defend the Earth from a terrifying new threat: the Scar King.

In addition to the regular cut, Max also acquired an American Sign Language (ASL) version of "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," becoming Max's first ASL film interpreter; ASL performer Otis Jones will be the interpreter, and another cut will be the unique title of the Max app, with sign language identified by key art featuring the symbol.

If you haven't been able to find the time to see it in theaters, this is a great opportunity to experience what is, in my humble opinion, one of the most thrilling films of the year (so far). Here's why you should stream "Godzilla x Kong: Neon Genesis Evangelion.

There are already a lot of great movies coming out in 2024: "Challenger," "Dune: Part 2," Dev Patel's "Monkey Man," "Civil War," and more. And I was stunned by my recent visit to Arrakis and gripped by the tension in Guadinho's tennis drama. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which I saw earlier this year, was also a blast.

Legendary's monsterverse isn't always perfect ("King of the Monsters"), but if this team knows how to do one thing well, it's to breathe life into a giant clash of giants. If that's what you're looking for, "Godzilla x Kong" is a pure, silly spectacle that doesn't shy away from being a popcorn epic.

Director Adam Wingard has packed it with enough action to satisfy anyone's appetite for destruction. Both on the surface and in the depths of the void, countless monster battles unfold. Above, Godzilla struggles to be the Earth's guardian, and below, Kong encounters a new simian rival that has long wanted to conquer the planet. [Godzilla absorbs the powers of the other Titans, and Kong is equipped with the B.E.A.S.T. Glove.

We run from set piece to set piece, and somehow the stakes seem to get higher and higher. I don't know how anyone can be bored by the absolute carnage that unfolds on the screen.

Moreover, unlike other Monsterverse films, the scenes between each fistfight are equally entertaining. This time around, there is a small core cast of note, all of whom have very specific roles in the confrontation, and we get our best character to date: Trapper, the hilarious giant vet played by Dan Steven.

As I have told you, I loved Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire when I saw it in theaters in early 2024. It was a giant step ahead of some of its predecessors, which prioritized eliminating boring elements and constantly upping the fun factor as it burned toward the final battle.

Although it did not fare well critically (it currently has a 54% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes), its 91% attendance (and its impressive box office) proves that "Godzilla x Kong" has found its fans, and I am more than happy to be counted among them.

Is "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" the best "Godzilla" movie ever made? Well, no. Tom's Guide believes the title belongs to the 2023 Oscar-winning film GODZILLA Minus One. Of course, "Godzilla Minus One" is a great film, but if you are looking for pure thrills, "Godzilla x Kong/Neon Genesis Evangelion" will win the prize.
