LG's accessible ComfortKit is a win for everyone!

One of my favorite sneakers is the Nike FlyEase. These futuristic low-tops feature a laceless design that folds in half to accommodate both feet. This easy on/off feature made the sneaker ideal for multiple plane rides, entering buildings without shoes, and jumping right into the day.FlyEase began as a project to help people with disabilities lead independent lives, but this technology is now being used by people of all ages and abilities to It is making life more comfortable for people of all ages and abilities.

LG's Comfort Kit 1.0 aims to provide the same level of accessibility to the company's range of home appliances. It is currently available in South Korea and will be available in the U.S. next year. These attachments can be connected to washing machines, refrigerators, and other home appliances so that they can be easily operated by people with physical disabilities.

I had the opportunity to demonstrate LG's Comfort Kit 1.0 on a recent trip to Korea. Each of these 3D printed add-ons tackle everyday tasks such as opening the latch on a washing machine or reaching for the top shelf of a closet. They are designed to empower those who struggle on their own, but make everyday life easier for everyone.

I was most drawn to the Style Easy Hangers (pictured above). A simple concept, this hanger has extended handles and circular grips that allow children and wheelchair users to reach vertically upward. This allows them to grab and store clothing and maximize space.

The Rotate Shelf Kit, on the other hand, spins around so you can easily access the back of the refrigerator without having to crawl inside. I'm especially excited about this add-on because over the years I've gone on many deep-diving expeditions to retrieve milk and hidden snacks from the back of the fridge.

Other lineups I tested included simple handles for dishwashers, washing machines, and refrigerators. These removable handles for doors and drawers are easy to hook up, either with your hands or by putting your wrist inside and applying force. Even if one does not have good dexterity or weak hands, they can be operated naturally by using one's wrists.

LG states that ComfortKit can only be used with their appliances for safety reasons, and these attachments do not necessarily improve the performance of their appliances themselves, but if you are trying to buy the best washer or the best clothes dryer but are having trouble operating the If someone is having a hard time, they may be the deciding factor.
