Continuing from last month, "The Acolyte" is the centerpiece of Disney Plus for July. The last few episodes of the Grand Republic-era "Star Wars" will be available this month to see how Master Sol and the other Jedi confront this disturbance in the Force.

July also brings family-friendly hits, including a new "Descendants" movie and seven "Bluey" mini-episodes. Other additions include "SharkFest" and "EPCOT Becoming: Inside the Transformation."

The latest Star Wars film, "The Acolyte," concludes this month, airing Tuesdays at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET through July 16.

Set in a galaxy far, far away, this murder mystery story follows respected Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae of "Squid Game") as he investigates a shocking series of crimes. He then comes into conflict with a dangerous warrior from his past, played by Amandla Stenberg. The dark side of the Force rears its head and may cause serious problems for the Jedi Knights.

New episodes on Disney Plus through July 16

July also offers seven short adventures with everyone's favorite cartoon dog, Bluey, on Disney Plus.

Following its mid-June premiere in Australia, the first batch of "Bluey" mini-episodes will bring more bite-sized laughs to the platform; according to the "Bluey" site, this first batch includes "Three Pigs," where Dad tells the story of the three little pigs in It includes retellings, young puppies enjoying annoying music in "Burger Dog," and Nana reading a story Bandit wrote when he was five years old in "Letter."

"The Descendants": another new Villian Kid is coming to Auradon Academy when the fourth installment of this franchise arrives in July In "The Rise of Red," former VK Youma (Ursula's daughter) becomes principal and invites Red, daughter of the Queen of Hearts, from Wonderland.

The problem is that the Queen of Hearts (here played by Rita Ora) has a long-standing grudge against Auradon and sees her delivery of Red as the perfect opportunity for revenge.

And if you're a "Descendants" fan, Disney Plus is delivering a sing-along version of the previous film on the same day as the premiere of "Rise of Red." Ross Edgley
