The upcoming Apple Watch10, or Apple Watch Series10, may introduce many upgrades But the biggest change could come from the actual appearance of the watch and provide the first true design change in three years
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the Apple Watch10 will offer a "large screen size" and a "thin design" compared to the Apple Watch Series9, which launched in May last year This predication tracks with a three-year change cycle that Apple is adhering to when it comes to the look and feel of a refreshed smartwatch every year
apple Watch Series7 fixes the design seen in apple Watch Series4, Series5, and Series6 It welcomed the thin display bezel and 20% larger display as well as the 41mm and 45mm sizes to replace the ones found in previous models Before that, the original Apple Watch via Apple Watch Series3 came in sizes of 38mm and 42mm
According to Apple's pattern, the Apple Watch10 should be scheduled for a new design Kuo believes the screen size will increase again and grow to 45mm and 49mm sizes It sounds like a big jump and will probably require a larger watch frame than a small display bezel
A larger frame may come with additional benefits, such as a larger battery or room for additional health sensors Blood pressure monitoring is what we've heard rumors about for a few years, although we're not fully sure it will arrive inside the Series 10 watches
Or maybe the larger frame supports Kuo's claim of a thinner Apple Watch design The inner parts may spread across a wider chassis and allow the watch to sit more flush with the user's wrist We are interested to see if this requires a complete redesign of the interior of the watch It's also possible that the flagship Apple Watch will adopt the more boxy shape used in the Apple Watch Ultra/Apple Watch Ultra2
Apple recently previewed watchOS11 at its annual developer conference, with game-changing new features for runners and a long-awaited option to pause the activity ringThe rumored Apple Watch10 design could support exclusive watchOS11 features, just as the apple Watch Series7 came with a QWERTY keyboard It will be
In any case, it's still a few months from knowing what the Apple Watch10 has compared to the best smartwatches currently If Kuo's report is true, you might hear more design rumors leading up to the yet-to-be-announced Apple9 May event
