Samsung Galaxy S24FE: All rumors so far including specifications, camera and release date

Samsung's Galaxy FE phones have had a difficult time recently trying to justify their existence. The basic concept is to have a phone that offers more features than the affordable A-Series, which also comes in cheaper than the phone's main line

This is the position the upcoming Galaxy S24FE finds. It has a significant amount of ground to cover to make it attractive to customers. And while rumors are starting to flow, we expect to hear over the coming months about how this phone will needle between price and performance.

Read on for a summary of all the current news and rumors we've seen so far for the upcoming Galaxy S24FE.

We don't currently hear much about the expected release date for the Galaxy S24FE. However, there are some signs that do not appear for at least a few months. We usually expect an FE version of the Galaxy s phone within 1 year, but a recent post from the Galaxy Club in the Netherlands shows that the phone will not appear until the fall of 2024 at the earliest and until the beginning of 2025.

Pricing is another thing that is currently up in the air which is a problem for Samsung. We have recently seen Samsung reduce the price of its flagship phone, complicating the pricing of the FE model, especially if it wants to compete with the surprisingly high-cost Galaxy A55.

Recently, the Galaxy S24FE was revealed in a new 360-degree rendering from the known tipster@OnLeaks. This is our best look at the new phone and that's mostly what we expected.

So far, the device has a 3-camera layout and a screen size increased to 6.5 inches, which is larger than the base Galaxy S24. The phone also comes with a USB-C port, which measures about 162x77.3x8mm, slightly larger than the Galaxy S23FE, and measures 158x76.5x8.2mm.

According to leaker@OraXda on X, the Galaxy S24FE may have the same processor as the flagship Galaxy S24. This means Snapdragon 8GEN3 in North America and Exynos2400 in other regions. This is the first time Samsung has run the FE model on the same chip as the current mainline series. However, I'm not sure if the phone will have access to the same Galaxy AI features as the main series.  Currently, we don't know the exact hardware that comes with the phone, but the same post on X shows that the Galaxy S24FE comes with 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, and that the Galaxy S24FE may come with a 4,000mAh battery instead of the 4,500mAh battery we saw with the Galaxy S23FE. It has been suggested that. This certainly translates into a longer lifespan, but you'll have to wait to test to find out how much.

If we include this in the Snapdragon 8GEN3 chipset possibilities, it could be a contender for our longest-lasting phone list. The biggest rumor you've heard about the Galaxy S24Fe may come with the same 53MP main camera you saw on the Galaxy S50fe. I don't know what the other cameras will do, but it's reasonable to assume that they look very similar to the other cameras on the Galaxy S23.

Overall, there's a lot to look forward to with the Galaxy S24FE, but there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered. The biggest thing at this point is the price of the device, which will definitely make or break the release of the phone. If the phone is too cheap, it will fall below the sales of the Galaxy a series, but if it is too high, its value will be questioned.

There is also the question of which Galaxy AI features will be included in the device and how they will be compared to the major series of phones. Samsung is working hard to deliver the best AI experience it can, so it's unlikely to miss offering anything on the device.

But with all that said, the Galaxy S24FE has a lot to get excited about. The inclusion of Snapdragon 8GEN3, and the potential increase in size for both screen and RAM/memory, could help secure a customer base. Hopefully, the device will cost enough and will be able to be happily placed on the best cheap phone list, but you need to check.
