The creators of Cobra Association respond to fans concerned about the final season of the 3-part series

Good News for "Cobra Kai" fans: Season 6 is coming soon, and a new episode featuring Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and the rest of Dojo members is set to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, July18. It's a great place to start. But that announcement came with a less good development for an avid audience, as the sixth and final season of the "Karate Kid" spin-off series will be released in three separate parts, not one and not two.

After the first 5 episodes aired on May 7 this year, the 2nd batch (i.e. from Episode 6 to episode 10) will hit the streaming platform on Thursday 28th. The final 5 episodes will premiere in 2025, but with the exact date yet to be announced, fans still don't know when those narrative arcs were wrapped up and the cliffhanger cleared (like spoilers! (John Cleese of Martin Cove fakes his death and escapes from prison at the end of Season 5).

However, while some fans may be concerned about waiting long for the "Cobra Kai" finale, the show's co-creator and co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz recently took advantage of social media to ease those worries. Taking on X, Hurwitz responded directly to fans who were worried about stumbling on spoilers if they were waiting to see all of the sixth season at once.

"My advice is to stop thinking of Season 6 as 1 last season and instead see it as 3 different mini-seasons. Each batch was written knowing the release plan, so the experience was designed to be enjoyed with a chunk of 5 episodes," he wrote. "Waiting for all 15 episodes to come out doesn't improve the viewing experience."

And Hurwitz also shed some light on the decision behind the trilogy's season release, rather than dropping all 15 episodes in one fell swoop: "Pos Just because we're done filming doesn't mean all episodes are ready to be consumed globally by the fall." . And as I said, they were designed to be enjoyed in a batch of 5 episodes.

The showrunners also had some advice for "Cobra Kai" fans ahead of Season 6 drop: "I recommend starting rewatch now, so when a new episode comes out, everything is fresh in your head!(You'll have to get through 50 full episodes of TV, so get cracking better!)

Along with Macchio and Zabka, the Season 6 cast includes Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio and Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin St. Peter and Ona O'Brien. And according to Netflix, the upcoming episode will pick up "with the Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley", and in the meantime "Both senseis and students compete at the World Championships — Karate World Championships"
