The new "Penguin" teaser trailer shows Colin Farrell's massive transformation in the fight for Gotham

The Penguin, Colin Farrell's "The Batman" villain, is betting on his claim as the crime king of Gotham in a new trailer for "The Penguin," which comes to Max later this year.

In this new clip, we look at a snapshot of Gotham, which is now flooded (courtesy of Paul Dano's Riddler), where the penguins tell mob boss Sal Moroni that they are going to call shots around Gotham and (later) plan to "destroy the empire from the inside." "It's a good idea," he said. It's an ambitious plan, trying to get him into all sorts of trouble. But the trailer isn't just happy to lay out Oz Cobb's plans, there's another formidable presence in the frame.

... Sofia Falcone (Christine Miloti) Although she was rarely seen in the trailer for the first "The Penguin", this second clip makes her formidable. As we learn, she is the daughter of Don Falcone. But Don Falcone is dead, and the family does not seem to respect her. Sofia forces other men around her on their knees, in a mission that will see Cobb and her crossing paths as they fight for control of the city.

"The Penguin" is a continuation of the story seen in Matt Reeves's 2022 film "Batman" and Robert Pattinson plays the Dark Knight. The series was written by Lauren Lefranc, who also acts as a showrunner.

From this new trailer, we now see that the Max crime drama follows Penguin as he bets his claim on Gotham City. When the series was first announced, star Colin Farrell said he could "not be more excited" to continue playing the villain and see the city of Gotham through his eyes.

"The world Matt Reeves created for "Batman" is a guarantee of a deeper gaze through the eyes of [Oz Cobb]. Farrell said. "I could not be excited to continue this exploration of Oz as he rises through the dark ranks to become a penguin. It would be good to get him back on the streets of Gotham for a little madness and a little mayhem.

In addition to Farrell and Christine Miloti, "The Penguin" also stars Renzi Ferris, Michael Kelly, Shore Agdasru, Deirdre O'Connell, Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen.
