We are getting closer and closer to the rumored launch of the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 That said, we're likely to see an influx of rumors and leaks before the big day, and the latest includes dummy units for both phones Unfortunately, these dummy units confirm that both phones still have noticeable creases
These images are from 9to5Google (via Sonny Dickson) and seem to show off both foldable designs Samsung was hoping to use ultra-thin glass and redesigned hinges to try to solve the display wrinkle problem But if the dummy unit is something to pass through, that's not the case
Of course, Samsung may not have used all the new advances in dummy units After all, these are not the final retail models They are primarily designed as reference materials, especially to ensure that accessory manufacturers are producing compatible products Long-term durability is not exactly necessary, so they are often put together cheaply
So there is always a possibility that the crease of the dummy does not indicate the crease of the final product But the serial Samsung leaker Ice Universe claims that the new design will only reduce the crease, not eliminate it
Dummy units can better understand what a new foldable file looks like, assuming it is legitimate There are rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold6 could get an updated design this year, and rumors and leaked specs suggest the phone is shorter and wider than last year's model
Judging by these images, the difference may be much more subtle than people expected The Z Fold6 dummy unit has become a defining feature of the Z Fold series compared to some of the other best foldable phones on the market, still tall and skinny, but without the Z Fold5 to compare it directly, it can not shine much from these images
The Z Flip6 looks almost identical to the Galaxy Z Flip5 That's in line with what we were expecting, and while some early rumors tipped the phone to have a larger cover display, this
could surely be seen in the rumored 7/10 that the next Galaxy Unpacked is taking place In the meantime check out our Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 hubs for all the latest news and rumors
