Samsung Galaxy S24 FE may have a familiar camera - here's what we know

According to a new report, the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE may launch with the same main camera that Samsung has used in several previous Galaxy phones.

The news comes from the Netherlands (via Phone Arena) and suggests that the Galaxy S24 FE may have the same 50MP main camera as the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy S24. If this is correct, the Galaxy S24 FE will have a 1/1.57" sensor with 1.0μm pixels.

For those unfamiliar with the FE series, the FE series is essentially a cheaper version of Samsung's flagship models. However, since Samsung is starting to rely more on Galaxy AI to improve photo quality, it is not surprising that the Galaxy S24 FE has the same camera as the main Galaxy S24.

But just because the camera is older does not mean it is without merit. The Galaxy S23, which uses the same sensor, was considered one of the best camera phones when it launched. No other camera options are shown in this report, but it is reasonable to assume that it will be similar to the Galaxy S23, i.e., 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.2), 10MP telephoto (f/2.4), and 3x optical zoom.

So far, Galaxy S24 FE rumors have given us a basic idea of what to expect, but much is still up in the air. So far, it appears that the S24 SE will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and may have a larger battery. It is also expected to come with 128GB or 256GB of storage capacity and 12GB of memory, a step up from the S23 FE's 8GB RM.

It is still unclear when this phone will be available, but recent rumors suggest that it could be available later this year or in early 2025. It is also not known how much the S24 FE will cost. However, if the above statistics prove correct (and if the price is reasonable), there may be a place for this device among the best Samsung phones.
