Spotify is raising prices again - here's how much more you need to pay

Becoming a Spotify subscriber is the least favorite time for everyone — the streaming giant is again raising the price of its service. Plans are increasing as much as as3 per month, so it may be time to re-evaluate whether Spotify is the best music streaming service for your needs.

The official announcement comes shortly after rumors broke that the company plans to increase the cost of its popular music streaming subscription. The company took to its blog to reveal the price increase. It also said subscribers will receive an email informing them about the impending price increase.

Starting with individual plans, Spotify is bumping it at 1-1 to 11.99 per month. This is not a big jump, but compared to the original cost, the increase feels proportionately large, as it is just below the 10% increase.

The Duo plan has risen from月額2 per month toと16.99, which makes sense as the company appears to be trying to get11 per active user.

Following the same price trend, the Family plan has risen to up 3-3 at 19.99 per month. This may seem like the worst deal, but if you have 3 or more people using the Family plan, the increase per user will actually be lower than the other plans (the plan is available to up to 6 individual users).

Student plans are staying 5 the same time at 5.99 per month. If you're eligible for this subscription option, enjoy the lowest possible price, as there's a lot of Spotify Premium for less than月額6 per month.

New rates will start in a month for existing subscribers. If you're new to Spotify and are considering signing up, the new price is already listed on the company's website, so apply now.

This is no doubt confusing a lot of Spotify users. It would be interesting to see if subscriber numbers drop because of the increased cost most users just get through it or not because their listening history is attached to the service. If you want to cancel Spotify Premium, here's how to do it:

Personally, I switched to YouTube music for a while. I enjoyed it, but the social aspect of Spotify (everyone I know uses it) eventually sucked me back, despite frequent price increases.
