Let's take a look at these alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 photos, apparently taken from a South Korean forum and shared by Ali TA Tech on X, to see how Samsung is reshaping its new foldable phone.

These images match the previous leak-based rendering and show the phone's new, wider outer display, and the phone's height is also clearly reduced to make it more usable when closed. This also means an equally wide and short inner screen, which can be seen in further images.

The Framing re-proportional screen is not the round one used by previous Samsung foldables, but the Galaxy S24Ultra-style right angle corners. I don't know if the edges are made of titanium, like the s24Ultra, but this is rumored in the new Z Fold model.

From the angle of these photos, it is difficult to determine the size of the phone hinge, but the crease in the middle of the inner screen is very visible. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is rumored to be thinner and lighter than the galaxy Z Fold5, so we expect these two issues to be resolved by Samsung.2 Otherwise, you might struggle to launch phones like the OnePlus Open or the Google Pixel Fold off, which rank among the best foldable phones.

Ali TA Tech calls the phone Fold6, which may not be the only book-style foldable Samsung has pulled out this year. There was talk of the 2nd, more luxurious Z Fold Ultra model along the way, but you may only see limited releases outside the US, UK and Australia.

These photos, sadly, can not show us other rumored upgrades to the phone, such as a redesigned camera block, or an improved internal component. For that, you'll have to wait until the actual launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6.This is expected to be done alongside the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Watch7, following the pattern we saw in previous years.

That launch could have happened on May 2024 at the Galaxy Unpacked event ahead of the Samsung-sponsored 7 Olympics. Therefore, it may not be that long until you start to appreciate the official photos of the latest Galaxy foldables.
