When will the lite version of Metaquest 3 be announced? After accidentally listing Meta Quest3 on the Meta Store last week, it is widely assumed that some announcements will soon appear, perhaps at next week's Summer Game Fest2024.

Between Geoff Keighley's downplay of Summer Game Fest2024 expectations and the recently announced Meta Connect2024, it seems that no new hardware will be seen from Meta until May 9. 

Meta Connect at its annual press conference, the company is announcing new hardware from its Reality Labs division. Both Metaquest 3 and Metaquest Pro were revealed at previous events. "We will look at the latest information to share work across AI, and the next schedule for Quest," Meta said in a statement, which will be held on 9/25 and 26.

Initially discovered by Tech Radar, Meta seems to be planning a tour of VR games over the summer, a sale of certain multiplayer games and a free weekend.

We already knew that Meta would show off the Camouflage Batman: Arkham Shadow Game at Keighley's Summer Gamefest 2024. Meta has now revealed that the game will launch in late 2024. Many speculated that Meta would announce Quest 3 during their turn at the summer Gamefest.

For the rest of the summer, Meta holds what the company calls Summerfest 2024.

Games like Battle Royale Shooter Population: One is getting major updates, while some games are getting free weekends.

Meta usually unveils new games during its annual game showcase, but during the Geoff Keighley show and this Summer Fest, it is unclear whether any new VR games other than Batman will be announced within the next three months.
