7 Best Movies about Aliens to get you in the mood for "Aliens: Romulus"

Are you eagerly waiting for "Alien: Romulus" to hit theaters? Don't worry, me too, and it's been a painful wait so far. It really feels like eternity until you see this long-awaited movie on the big screen on May 8, but there are other movies about aliens that you should watch until that time rolls around. And yes, these movies will definitely keep your excitement in check for the coming weeks.

There's something very thrilling and tense about alien movies. Undeniably special science fiction genres often delve into extraterrestrial beings coming down to Earth, but they are much more than a simple invasion. "Quiet Place" explores the fear of making sounds around the creature with ultrasonic hearing, and "No one will save you" alienated from her community.

If you need something that will occupy your mind while waiting for "Alien: Romulus", these seven stories about aliens can be found here. Best Movies

I had to start with this list 1 of the best horror sci-fi movies ever, especially "Alien: Romulus". The story follows the crew of the commercial spacecraft Nostromo, which receives a distress signal from an unexplored planet. As they investigate, they discover deadly alien creatures invading their ships. The aliens begin to hunt the crew one by one, leading to a tense and terrifying struggle for survival. "Alien" is absolutely great, but without Sigourney Weaver as much as the main character Ripley, it's not half.

"Quiet Place" is set in an apocalyptic world where blind alien creatures with very sensitive hearing have wiped out much of the human population. To survive, the Abbott family lives in almost complete silence, communicates in sign language and takes extreme measures to avoid making sounds that could attract deadly creatures. John Krasinski, who plays Father, also directed the film, which focuses on the family's struggle to navigate and protect themselves in everyday life under these conditions, especially as Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) is preparing for the birth of a baby.

One of the best tense thrillers ever made, "10 Cloverfield Lane" follows a young woman named Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who wakes up in an underground bunker after a traffic accident. The Bunker is owned by Howard (John Goodman), who claims he saved her from a devastating chemical attack that made the outside world uninhabitable. Along with another bunker resident, Emmett (John Gallagher Jr.), Michelle begins to doubt Howard's story, questioning whether she's safer inside the bunker, or whether she should try to escape. When I say, this film does an incredible job at building tension and leaving you shocked.

"No One Will Save You" centers on Brynn Adams (Kaitlyn Dever), a young woman who lives alone in a secluded house. When she discovers that extraterrestrial beings have invaded her home, her peaceful existence is shattered. As the invasion escalates, Brynn must face her deepest fears and fight to survive against relentless alien attackers. The film combines elements of suspense, isolation and fear to provide an incredibly tense viewing experience. In addition, I believe that this film is the perfect watch before "A Quiet Place: The First Day" is immediately released in theaters.

I want something a bit more tame. "Super 8" is a classic movie that everyone should experience. It follows a group of young children who go out to the train station to shoot scenes for their zombie movie. But what was supposed to be a fun night turns into a nightmare when children witness a horrific train crash. Just after escaping, they realize that the train was holding some kind of creature that would end up free. The leader of the group, Joe Lamb (Joel Courtney), discovers that they are in the midst of a terrible mystery involving government intrigues and powerful aliens.

It has a staggering score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, and we needed to include "Arrival" in this list. The film revolves around the arrival of a mysterious alien spaceship on Earth. As humanity scrambles to understand their aims and intentions, a linguistics expert, played by Amy Adams, in the army to communicate with extraterrestrial visitors, as she deciphers their complex language, she begins to unravel the essence of their arrival, leading to profound implications for the fate of mankind. If you're looking for something in a unique take on a traditional alien invasion story, "Arrival" should be your next weekend watch.

Now really move on to a movie that I became uncomfortable throughout, it's "life". The story follows a crew of six aboard the International Space Station (ISS) who have discovered evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As they conduct experiments on specimens, they quickly realize that life forms are much more intelligent and dangerous than they ever expected. A crew trapped on the ISS with a rapidly evolving alien creature must fight for survival while preventing the creature from reaching Earth. "Life" features prominent actors such as Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hiroyuki Sanada and Rebecca Ferguson.
