Computex2024 Days 4-7 Incredible Gadgets You Need to See

We'll talk all about Computex2024 this week in Tom's Guide. The coolest computing event of the year continues to surprise us with amazing PC-oriented products, and our team on the ground in Taiwan is doing eye-catching camera work on the show floor.

Yesterday at Computex Day3, we had an incredibly exciting Asus TUF Gaming A14 laptop, a mid-tower PC case with Lego Wolverine, and a racing cockpit simulator.

Now we're deep into Day 4 of Computex and the stakes continue to rise. One entry will include the actual president of Taiwan who semi-interacts with MSI's claws: our TG crew spoilers for some obscene yet completely stunning pictures of computing technology being tested today in Taipei.

There's not much to say about this wooden case PC. In fact, there may be a few things. First, it looks absolutely incredible and somehow combines a jetson and a matrix vibe. And secondly, it's hard to imagine a world where this will actually be a real product that regular people can buy.

There is more compassion.

Dual-screen laptops can often come across as a bit of a gimmick, but in terms of increasing productivity, they're super-handy while the Z1A with Alder Lake may not be the one that shakes the best specs in the world, but it's still a bit neat. It's a good idea. In terms of specs, it's a duo of 14.1-inch 16:9IPS displays with a pixel count of 1920x1200. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics solution is not going to ignite the world, but at least this portable PC is fun and lightweight. With twin panels, it tips the scale at just 1.8kg (63.4 oz) and is available in both Windows11 and Linux-based models.

Also PSA: Its keyboard informs you to "stay hungry, stay stupid"— so there's something to ponder.

There's much more to this QD-OLED screen than the fact that it's rocking some of the worst product names in history. For one thing, it has some straight-up terminator features going on.

A.I.Enter the Sky Sight. This incredibly forward-looking technology utilizes artificial intelligence to automatically detect enemy positions on the screen in one of the best Steam games before highlighting them on this futuristic display.

The MEG321URX also has a few other cool features to cry out for. The first is "OLED Care2.0", which promises to significantly reduce the chances of burn-in of OLED screens that will ruin the display. This potentially amazing 31.5-inch 4K display (boasting a 240Hz refresh rate) also features a "SpectrumBar" with "Mystic Light" and "Glow Sync." Speak in the real world. This monitor can mimic the color on the screen of the game you are playing through soft ambient light.

Acer's new Swift14 is thin and light ultralight, and as with the ongoing trend, this puppy has some fancy new AI features. And it's pretty sweet how the company tells users when NPU is training when you're using them.

Whenever these nerve processing units are positioned through the pace, the small light-up indicator on this laptop's touchpad starts to glow. Maybe this feature will get messy after a while, but we've been delving into it so far. Acer's AI laptop comes in both AMD Ryzen AI300 and Intel Lunar Lake flavors.

As great as Computex, one problem that events throw on a daily basis is that you'll never actually have the opportunity to own an incredible unit unless you try to sneak a display unit out of the Nangang Exhibition Center in an unworkable big rucksack. And the Sentinel Cipher may not be any different.

This gorgeous rig shakes the atmosphere of some serious "fallout" with aesthetics that seem to have withstood an atomic blast, but can still function. Nvidia and Intel are blown away by Essencore's work because both companies are likely to be housed again with the RTX4070 or Intel Core i7-14700K in such a wonderfully unique rig.

This is a very fresh concept: a tempered glass display that can be attached to your PC. Freshness aside, however, this attachable screen may not be all that attractive to hardcore gamers. The functionality of this panel should be admired, but the 62p/1080hz display, which covers only 60% of the sRGB color gamut, makes the display geeks very hot under the collar.

The strangest incident that occurs on Day 2024 of Computex4. The actual President of Taiwan, Lai Ching Tae, is decorating MSI's nail booth.

As someone writing about a mega-computing event off the UK's frigid coast, this journo is struggling to imagine a scenario in which Rishi Snack holds a steam deck OLED for the camera in the build-up to the UK's first general election since 2019. To be fair, the new MSI Claw8AI Plus looks likely to deserve such a major PR event. This upgraded handheld PC is a major upgrade over the OG model thanks to Intel's latest Lunar Lake chip
