True crime has proven to be a hugely popular genre in streaming, and nearly every streaming service has a robust lineup of true crime stories for watching with a case-obsessed audience. Hulu subscribers have quite a lot to binge on especially in this genre, thanks in part to the fact that this platform is the streaming house of ABC News Studios, which produces regular true crime documentaries. 

There are dozens of titles on this platform to choose from, but if you want to dive into some of Hulu's most compelling true crime documentaries, here's your start line.

"Wild Crime" is a true crime documentary series that focuses on crimes committed in the wilderness, where elements can easily wipe out the evidence. The first two seasons focus on the different crimes taking place in the vast landscape of the American national park system and highlight the work of a special representative of the National Park Service tasked with investigating these often complex and challenging crimes.

The latest season, "Wild Crime: Blood Mountain," follows the story of hiker Meredith Emerson, who, along with her dog, disappeared while hiking Blood Mountain in Georgia. The disappearance looks like an isolated incident at first, but the case takes a dark turn when a murdered hiker is found on other trails in the southeastern United States.

The documentary "How I Caught My Killer" has a unique format that aims to give a voice to victims during the investigation of a murder. Each episode focuses on real-life murders where victims were able to provide key evidence to help solve their own murders through regular actions such as social media posts, unusual text activity, or location sharing.

The first season of the show features John Ray, who, despite being paralyzed, left behind a hidden message to help identify his killer, and a reptile breeder who provided important insights in his final days when an unusual text message exchange with a business associate helped the detective close the case. It features 9 cases, including one Ben Renick case.

Not about murder or detective work, but "The Secrets of Hillsong" is a compelling, true crime documentary that reveals the dark side of Hillsong Church. This once-admired megachurch not only recounts allegations of extreme misconduct among the highest-ranking members of the church, but also shows the unthinkable lengths Hillsong's leaders have gone to cover up abuse within the church.  

The four-part documentary series includes interviews with former pastors and congregations, detailing how the church's image was routinely prioritized instead of addressing criminal behavior within its leadership, which dates back to the 1990s.
