The new "Wallace & Gromit" movie has just been confirmed - and it's coming to Netflix soon

Aardman's beloved animated duo Wallace & Gromit will be back on our screens in a new feature-length adventure scheduled for air in 2024.

The new film, entitled "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl," will appear on Netflix this winter, with the exception of the UK, and will premiere on bbc One and BBC iPlayer as part of the broadcaster's Christmas TV show.

"Vengeance Most Fowl" was teased as part of the 6/6 "Next on Netflix" animation promotion, a series of projects scheduled to appear on the platform after 2024. In addition, the BBC has teased some details about what to expect in this latest adventure.

In "Wallace and Gromit: Revenge of the Most Poultry", Wallace and his faithful hound Gromit compete with wayward garden gnomes... Who may or may not be controlled by any of their old nemeses.

Netflix's full synopsis states, "In this next article, Gromit's concern that Wallace was too dependent on his own invention has proven to be justified when Wallace invented the 'smart' gnome, which appears to be developing its own mind." When it becomes clear that a person full of revenge in the past may be masterminding things, it falls on Gromit to fight the sinister forces and save his master...Or Wallace may never be able to invent again!

The BBC has further confirmed that it will feature the return of Feathers McGraw, the villainous penguin last seen in the 1993 short film Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Tovers. After serving time behind bars, the feathers are out for revenge on the pair.

Wallace's original voice actor, Peter Sallis, died in 2017 and was taken over by Ben Whitehead. Gromit and Feathers are both silent, but we know that the wider-voiced cast will also include Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Reece Shearsmith, Diane Morgan and "Bridgerton" stars Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan and Lenny Henry.

"Wallace & Gromit: Revenge Most Poultry" is far from the only thing I saw in the Netflix animated presentation. Here's a list of all the other promotional clips you see embedded above: The preview covers 2024 and beyond; For more information about each title (and other titles that are still in development), see here. Can be found in Tudum.

If you can't wait to watch "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl", all 4 shorts and "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" are available for streaming on Prime Video or for rent/purchase.
