Top of 5 New Movies to Watch on Disney Plus, Hulu and more (5/28〜 6/3)

It's a late week when it comes to new movies where the biggest streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video aren't adding new originals, but thankfully the likes of Disney Plus, Hulu and Paramount Plus are picking up the slack.

This week we'll see the streaming debut of "The First Omen," but this stunningly creepy chiller is a prequel to the original horror classic and premiered before heading to hulu.Other new movies to watch this week include "Boy Kills World," "Jim Henson: Idea Man," and "I.D."S.S.There is such as. In addition, the debut of the direction of Chris Pine arrives on PVOD.

If you're looking for a new movie to watch this week, you're coming to the right place. I'm here to guide you through all the biggest new movies you can stream at home this week. And check out our guide to summer movies in theaters.

A warped revenge story willing to play like "John Wick" crossed with "Deadpool", "Boy Kills the World" a future dystopia full of madcap characters and hyper-violence Honestly, when I saw it in theaters, the disconnect between a very boyish tone and ultra-brutal action was a bit jarring, but you know what? If you like the quippy comedy drenched in blood, you might find something fascinating about the film's irreverent tone and brutality.

Bill Skarsgård is an eponymous boy and an unnamed, unspoken character (although his inner thoughts are voiced by H). John Benjamin (you may know him as Bob in "Bob's Burgers") is seeking revenge against the ruthless Van Der Koys family after his family was executed at an annual televised event called Culling. A boy trained by a mysterious shaman (Yayan Ruhian) stops nothing to bring down those responsible for his trauma as he carves out a path of destruction.

The reboots, remakes and re-imaginations of classic movies continue to be churned out with constant clips, so it's easy to get close to the "first omen" with a degree of irony. It was a sequel to 1976's "The Omen," which was already followed by a series of sequels from passable ("Damien-Omen II") to downright dreadful ("Omen IV: The Awakening"), so my expectations were pretty low overall before it went into theaters in May.

But it gives me great pleasure to report that the "first omen" is a worthy addition to the beloved original. It reinforces the 1976 classic in some smart way while telling its own, very convincing story. In this prequel, a young American woman, Margaret (Nell Tiger Free), travels to a Roman nun to pledge her service to the church, where she encounters sinister evils and shocking intrigues, questioning her faith.

"Poolman" marks chris Pine's directorial debut, and critics aren't kind to this, with a 21% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the Hollywood Reporter describing it as a "high-pitched misfire." "I'm not going to let that happen," he said. To his credit Pine has taken negative reviews on his stride, calling the situation "the best thing that ever happened to me" (via the Happy Sad Confused podcast), so you probably want to give this movie a chance now that it has arrived at premium streaming.

In "Poolman," Chris Pine plays Darren Barrneman, a pool cleaner from Los Angeles, a mysterious woman (DeWanda Wise0 reveals the truth behind a shady business deal. With the help of some eccentric friends, Darren realizes he's at odds with corrupt politicians and greedy land developers, and his investigation is even more out of control, with the Pine Star (and screenwriter and director) starring alongside Annette Bening, Danny Devito and Jennifer Jason Lee.

Academy Award-winning Ron Howard has released this document about the acclaimed artist and puppeteer Jim Henson. During his nearly 40・year career, Henson has created some of the most beloved characters in entertainment, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy in Muppets, Big Bird in Sesame Street, Cookie Monster, Bart and Ernie. In addition, he also directed the classic fantasy films "Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth". Henson is a true master of his technology, and his influence on his industry shines brightly even decades later.

This Disney Plus original documentary, produced in full collaboration with the Henson family, "offers an unprecedented, intimate view of Jim Henson's brilliant, revolutionary career and complex personal life.It incorporates archived footage never seen before (including Henson's own home movie) along with his diaries and sketches. You can also expect interviews with those who know him best. It is set to be a decisive celebration of true genius.

"I.S.S.It's a sci-fi thriller set on the International Space Station, starring Ariana Debose as American astronaut Kira Foster. A former marine finds herself trapped in a rapidly escalating situation when a nuclear war breaks out on the Earth's surface below. Following this, the US and Russian astronauts on board each receive a single order from the planet: take control of the station by any means necessary

Although the characters are quite pedestrian and the plot eventually plays almost exactly as you would expect "I.S.S.What's interesting is that the claustrophobic corridors of the space station make an effective thriller place, and Devos will never be less than 100% committed in a leading role. Far from the most memorable film of the year, "I.S.S."" is a thriller that draws your attention to the end.
