Apple confirmed that everyone was guessing the moment WWDC2024 announced it would start on 6/10. The annual developer conference will be underway with the keynote of the day apple is planning a live stream.

The WWDC2024 keynote will begin on Monday 6/10 at 1pm ET/10am PT/6pm BST. In the past, Apple has been streaming the keynote on its website, but I think you can also watch it from the company's YouTube channel.

Don't look for many clues in WWDC2024 keynote invitations. It just shows the logo of Apple's programming language, Swift, and the words "Coming in Swiftly.""Indeed, it's the kind of thing you'd expect to hear at a developer conference for Apple products.

However, the focus at WWDC2024 is expected to be around AI.Specifically, it is Apple's effort to keep up with work already underway at Google, Microsoft, and other tech giants that are more advanced in implementing AI in their products than APPLE. WWDC expects to hear about AI's role in this year's Apple software update, so it's giving Apple a chance to fix it.

In particular, iOS18 is supposed to showcase new AI features, many of which have been leaked in reports over the weekend. Among the highlights are an improved Siri assistant that allows for more natural conversations, emoji generation capabilities, and other tools aimed at helping users get started with built-in apps such as Keynote and Pages.

In addition to iOS18, we also expect previews of the latest versions of watchOS, macOS, tvOS, iPadOS and visionOS. Developer beta is usually released during WWDC, while public beta is released a few weeks after the event. Apple recently announced a new iPad with an M4 chip and an iPhone SE4, but it wasn't expected until 2025, so the hardware announcement isn't expected much in the WWDC keynote. While most Mac hardware announcements are expected later this year, there's always the possibility that Apple will surprise us with some kind of Mac news.
