Lego's first Legend of Zelda set is a towering 2-piece tribute to the 2,500 iconic games.

1 of the most beloved video game franchises in history has finally taken the shape of Lego. Lego and Nintendo have revealed the first Lego set inspired by the Legend of Zelda, and it's a 2,500-piece build that fans can curate based on their favorite Zelda game.

The Great Dextree 2-in-1 (77092) set is now available for pre-order and shipping on May 1, but offers two different ways to complete the model set. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Legend of Zelda: Build a tree to look like a breath of the wild, depending on the version you choose

Released in 1998, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a Nintendo 64 staple and is considered by many as one of the best video games of all time.1 It's a good idea. Link's journey begins in Dek's Tree in an attempt to remove the curse from the forest guardian, and it is Dek's tree that ultimately links to saving Hyrule from Ganondorf.

About 20 years later, the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild arrived as a definition launch game for the original Nintendo Switch. As one of the best switch games (probably just overshadowed the kingdom's new tears), BoTW sees the Master Sword as the Deku tree, deep in the lost forest, returns.1

Whether you've been playing Zelda games for decades or have recently discovered a franchise on the Switch, the great Dextree 2-in-1 Lego set seems like a pleasure to build. As well as choosing your build style, you can also play with the poseable facial features of the Deku tree. It also assembles 3 mini-figure versions of Princess Zelda's mini-Figure and Link, and comes with several identifiable accessories such as the Hyrian Shield and the aforementioned Master Sword.

This is not the only recent franchise launch for Lego, which will be available in May with a playable Dungeons & Dragons set These are expected to be just the first of what is likely to be a series of Dungeons & Dragons with the Legend of Zelda, but of course it's not.
