Fans already knew that the show's first romantic hero Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dyneber) and her husband Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings (Les Jeunes Jean Paige), who will enter "Bridgerton" season 3, are returning to T in a new episode. I would not. (Dyneber popped up at the Bridgerton house last season, but the page hasn't returned since the first season was over.However, these two were not the only familiar faces missing from this season. 

Yes, viewers started to catch up with one of the Sharma sisters this time, but it would be Kate, played by Simone Ashley, who is entrenched in her role as Viscount Bridgerton, opposite Anthony Bridgerton in Jonathan Bailey — Kate's little Sith Edwina will be seen on May 16. It's nowhere to be found in the first four episodes dropped on Netflix. 

During the scene between Queen Charlotte and Mrs. Danbury, it was revealed that Edwina had a fascinating "game abroad", but the identity or location of the gentleman is not known. (Is it Prince Friedrich, the nephew of the queen, or is it someone else? We will have to wait to find!

And as actress Charithra Chandran previously described her absence from the third season of the period drama, they won't even see the young Sharma in the last four installments when they arrive at the Streamer on June13. 

In an interview with The Indian Express in 2022/8, Chandran revealed: I'm doing another movie. It has not yet been announced. It's really exciting!The 27-year-old Scottish star did not specify the movie she was working on in place of "Bridgerton" season 3, but it is likely that she starred as Amelia, in the 2024 Amazon Prime video comedy "How to Date Billy Walsh." 

Chandran had only good things to say about her experience of acting in the Regency-era romance series, saying to the publication: "I am so grateful for it. It was such a great experience, and I have great things to say about it. However, the actress admitted that the success of that "Bridgerton" could be a double-edged sword, telling the Guardian on this 3 May: I hope not — and I have great ambitions. It's pretty strange that that was the beginning of my career. I think it really distorts the sense of accomplishment."

It's unclear whether Charithra Chandran will return to recreate the role of Edwina Sharma in a future edition of "Bridgerton," but given executive producer Shonda Rhimes' announcement that she's "committed" to adapting all of Julia Quinn's "Bridgerton" novels to the individual seasons of the show, it's not clear if Charithra will return. Given that, there's plenty of time for Edwina to make a long-awaited comeback to ton.
