The first teaser trailer for the long-awaited "Umbrella Academy" season 4 is finally here, and it looks like the Hargreeves clan will once again be grappling with some mind-bending, timeline-crossing scenarios with their trademark irreverence and mind for their last outing
It has been almost 2 years since the end of the 3rd season of "Umbrella Academy", and it seems that a lot has changed for the Hargreaves family at that time As they find themselves in yet another universe after a climactic battle at the Hotel Oblivion, the brothers (plus fan favorite Lila) have to hit the ground running for their last outing to regain their power and save the world again
For a little taste of what you expect this season, you can check out the two-minute teaser trailer below:
The trailer kicks off with narration from Sir Reginald Hargreaves who has given a speech to present his super-powered children to the world The Hargreaves brothers are then loaded into the van and ready to proceed to the first mission in this new timeline
And Ben said, "I'm going to kill this b----!"From the back seat, Alison reminds him that this is a rescue mission after the beat, introducing some of the series' distinctive quirky humor
The teaser trailer investigates a sparkling subway map, dances, fights, and shows a quick montage featuring brothers Ben using tentacle-based powers Oh, Santa Claus obviously has a machine gun
"Umbrella Academy" Season 4 will be fully released on Netflix on 8/8
"Umbrella Academy" certainly has its ups and downs as a series, and some criticize it for feeling Season 3 overkill and lacking the development of key characters like Alison and the Sparrow
However, the new trailer appears to have returned to series form, with all the family taking the opportunity to shine in the short clip And while fans may bemoan the 6-episode format that has been truncated for the final season, the series may actually benefit from getting a bit shorter, as this could help avoid Season 3 pacing issues
At the end of the horizon, this series will stick a landing and bring them to the Hargreaves family after four seasons of being one of the most ingenious sci-fi shows on streaming
