Acer's new Smart Monitor gives you the opportunity to sag on Google TV — What you Need to Know

Acer's DA1 and Nitro GA1 monitors claim to "increase productivity," but with Google TV built in, I'm not sure if I'm looking at them more than they work. Either way, this is the next step on a long road that saw the line blurred between the monitor and the smart TV, and it's happening at Computex2024.

Jokes aside, whether you are me busy or kill time in office reruns (USA, of course), let these get into them more for work or play.

So, first of all, I'm not going to try to pronounce those names. You are just welcome to do so from the table above, but I just call them DA1 and GA1. is it cool? Cool

Let's start with DA1 — the ideal option for hard home workers with time to kill when off the clock. With full 4K resolution and 99% sRGB color gamut, you get clear images to get your work done during the day, and google TV locks access to apps like Netflix, Disney+ and Max at night.

Do you need that additional gaming prowess? Nitro GA1 knocks down the resolution to qhd, but instead offers a refresh rate of up to 180Hz (if you're using a DisplayPort1.4 socket), AMD Freesync and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility

Oh, say you want to work and watch Netflix or play video games at the same time (if my boss is reading this, I've never done this completely...Acer's multi-view feature allows you to split the screen into various sections for each input. These will be available in Q4 in North America, with the DA1 series starting atド349 and the Nitro GA1 starting atれ329. There is no doubt that we will test these in Taipei with Computex, so please visit this space for Tom's Guide's opinion on these low-cost panels.
