In the Quest Store list discovered by The Verge, you can see that quest3 is listed as a supported device alongside Meta Quest3, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest2.

The name of the upcoming VR headset was discovered in the Alo Moves XR app. Other titles also listed 3S.However, Meta seems to have cleaned up those lists, as the 3S Monica disappeared from the Quest store.

Previous rumors suggest that Quest3s or Meta Quest3Lite will be a more affordable version of the Meta Quest3 headset. 

Besides the potential presence of the 3S, the best news we've seen is that Quest 3S claims to appear to have the brains of Quest 3 and the bodies of Quest 2.  The 3S will feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2Gen2 chipset and a Touch Plus controller with 2 4MP RGB pass-through cameras.

But the display is a bit weak. It has a resolution of 1,832X1920 and is the same as Quest2. Compared to Quest3's 25PPD, it should have 20 pixels per degree, but it is said to have a refresh rate of 120Hz.

It is not yet known that the price or potential release date for Quest3s has not been leaked or suggested. Currently, Quest 3 has a starting price ofド499, while Quest 2 is available forク299. If we were betting, we'd imagine the 3S would be priced somewhere between them at aboutれ350.

Next week, Meta will present a new game for the Quest headset at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest2024. The 6/7 showcase will also feature a new Arkham Asylum VR game, Batman: Arkham Shadow. Perhaps Meta will announce the light Quest 3S at the same time.
