hi chain. Even though 1 of the answers seemed completely alien from my side of the Atlantic, I realized this was the easiest puzzle for a while!

But I'm ahead of myself. I immediately associated the theme - "Start the day right" - with breakfast, two 'g's next to each other in the top row confirmed this so that I immediately joined the eggs. From there, I hunted for breakfast spangrams that came pretty quickly too, spanning from left to right across the board.

It left a separated hash in a small container at the top left for my next word and I was obviously looking for bacon. Sausage and waffles completed the lower half of the board.

I must say, the last two gave me some problems. We have quiche in the UK, but it's definitely not breakfast food. I probably wouldn't have this if it wasn't for the "Q" that makes me go for it with a hunch.

It left only one answer to find: I connected oatmeal and finished the puzzle.
