Microsoft has launched the AI PC revolution with the launch of the Surface Pro11 with a lot of AI power thanks to an optional OLED display, a new and improved Surface Pro Flex keyboard and, of course, Qualcomm's Snapdragon X series processors.

The Surface Pro11 promises up to 14 hours of battery life and up to 90% faster performance compared to the Surface Pro9. Would this still be the best 2-in-1 laptop? Here's everything you need to know about the Surface Pro11.

The Surface Pro11 starts atま999 and goes on sale on 6/18. Many options are available, including the processor of your choice (Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite), memory options (16GB and 32GB), and SSDs (from 256GB to 1TB).  Note that the Surface Pro11 with an OLED display (starting atド1,499) is the only model with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for the Snapdragon X Elite.The keyboard and pen cost an extra急449, which is very steep as a combo. 

The Surface Pro11 is very similar to other Surface devices, but with some notable changes. The kickstand appears to offer more angles, so you can customize how the device is used, and the new Surface Pro Flex keyboard, the tablet keyboard, also has an extra carbon fiber layer for more stability and an expanded tactile touchpad.

If you really care about screen quality, you'll want to splurge for an optional OLED with an HDR display. The adaptive color and Dolby Vision IQ features also help make your video more fun and immersive.

As for the Surface Slim Pen, Microsoft promises a smoother and more accurate experience with zero-force inking, ultra-precision shading, and 4,096 point pressure sensitivity. Similar to the Apple Pencil Pro on the Ipad Pro2024, it also has a built-in haptic engine.  Microsoft has promised that Copilot+ Pcs, including the Surface Pro11, will be faster than the MacBook Air M3, thanks to Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors. From the powerful NPU is talking more than 4,500 million operations per second. But can you do with this chip?

The new Recall feature lets you use natural language search to find what you're looking for on your PC. In addition, Paint Cocreator also has a live caption feature built into the live translation that helps the AI make what you want, allowing you to use ink strokes and words to describe the images you want to create. 

Third-party apps are also taking part in AI acts, such as applying visual effects with Davinci Resolve and using CapCut to remove the background of video clips.

The Surface Pro11 features an ultra-wide-angle quad-HD front camera to make video calls look better. Auto-framing also keeps you focused as you move around. There is also a 4OMP Ultra HD rear camera that supports 1K video.

In terms of connectivity, the Surface Pro11 supports Wi-Fi7 and the optional 5G.

The Surface Pro11 certainly looks impressive on paper, but it doesn't include a keyboard and pen In addition, this 2-in-1 has to fight a wide range of devices, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo, all with built-in Snapdragon X-series chips. Still, the Surface Pro11 looks like a bold step forward for the 2-in-1, and you can wait to test whether it can withstand the hype of an AI PC.
