Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 can have a New camera Design — What we Know

We recently heard rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold6 will get some serious camera upgrades — which we can all agree with, but according to leaker Ice Universe, the camera changes that will be foldable may not be just that. The lens itself can also get some design changes.

Ice Universe showed off what it claims to be a new rear camera housing for the Z Fold6. The new housing appears to be some kind of black material, with a circular texture around the circumference. It also looks like the lens is sticking out straight from the back of the phone, as it does with the Galaxy S24Ultra. This is in stark contrast to the Galaxy Z Fold5 rear camera.

That phone still has a separate camera bump that holds all 3 lenses while each individual lens is housed within a metal ring.

That means the Z Fold6 borrows the features of the Galaxy s series, allowing it to ditch the protruding camera module and support separate lenses. But the design may be different from what we have seen in the Galaxy flagship in recent years.

One of the things we should note is that the images in Ice Universe contain a Galaxy AI watermark.1 I don't know the scope of the AI editing, but it can range from cleaning up an existing image to generating a new one from scratch. The icy universe has a good reputation and it would be amazing if this was manufactured, but that's something to keep in mind.

The new camera design is not welcome, especially as the Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to be accompanied by other serious design changes. The word is that we should expect something that looks a little more like a pixel fold, the tall and skinny Z-fold design of past foldables with a wide frame

Sadly, the new design does not mean that we will eventually see the built-in S-pen. The Galaxy S24Ultra may have a holster for the stylus, but Ice Universe claims that "of course it doesn't have a built-in S pen." No doubt

you will have to wait for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold6 to ensure the change, but thankfully, you don't have to wait that long, because it will increase the thickness of the phone and every millimeter will add up when you have two phones that fold together. According to rumors, the next Galaxy Unpacked will be held on 7/10, and Samsung is pushing for an upcoming foldable launch to beat the Olympics.

In the meantime, you can stay up to date with the latest news and rumors on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 hubs.
