Motorola Razr+2024 Full specs and price Leaks — What we know

After a sudden leak that started last week, the full specifications and price of the Motorola Razr+2024flip style foldable phone were suddenly decided. Some of the information we saw last week was spot on, but other items have changed or filled gaps. Based on the leak, it could be one of the best foldable phones this year.1

Leak Manager Steven Hemmerstoffer (Onleaks on X) is pretty solid with what he shares, so this is most likely to be announced by Motorola in the coming weeks. Let's take a look.

As a reminder, a new Motorola phone is being released in the US as Razr+2024. The rest of the world gets the Razr50Ultra. Given last year's version, a somewhat simpler naming convention was Razr40Ultra.  As previously reported, the exterior design does not appear to have changed with the new Razr+2024. It is getting a better waterproof rating from IP52 to IPX8. The Razr+2024 holds a 6.9-inch OLED inner display and a 3.6-inch OLED cover display on the razr+2023.

Previous leaks suggested that Razr+ would be offered in blue, green, orange, or peach fuzz. OnLeaks says it comes in midnight blue, spring green and hot pink.

The new Razr+ has been upgraded to Android14 with fingerprint reader and facial recognition. The Razr+2024 also seems to be the first Motorola foldable phone with AI photo and video editing tools and capture.

Last year's Razr+ doubled as a macro camera, featuring a dual camera system consisting of a 12MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

The 2024 version seems to be getting a serious upgrade to 2MP wide and 50MP telephoto with a rear camera with optical zoom 50X. The front camera is the same 32MP selfie cam. On last year's model, we found the dual camera system of the Razr+ to be quite powerful. A bump of almost 40 megapixels should be just a little better, but the shift to a telephoto camera with optical zoom makes it more promising.

The Razr+2024 was expected to get an upgraded chipset, but until now it was just speculation. The 2023 model was equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+Gen1 processor, which was processed like a champion. But the Gen2 chip has already been filtered to other phones, and this year it's about the Gen3 processor.

Fortunately, Motorola plans to upgrade the chip to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen3, which should significantly improve its functionality. To use the new processor, Motorola is upgrading its RAM from 8GB to 12GB. It seems that the storage remains the same at 256GB.  The battery is also getting a minor bump from the 2023 model 3,800 mAh battery to the 2024 Razr+4,000 mAh battery. Our custom battery test reached just 2023 with the Razr+10 hours, but this is still leading the way among the flip-style foldable phones we've reviewed. Therefore, considering the power efficiency of the chipset, it is expected to take at least a few more hours with the new 4,000mAh battery.

Finally, the price. A leak by European retailers from last week suggests that the Razr50Ultra will be launched in the EU for 1200 euros, similar to last year's price. In the US, this means launching on launching999, just like last year's model. Motorola has not yet officially released the information, but it is expected that the phone will be launched on May 6 next month.
