Prime Video has updated "Boys" for season 5 - and I'm not sure if it's a good thing

Yes, "The Boys" is back in town for another insanely chaotic rodeo in Season 5, as announced by vought - no, sorry, Prime Video. This gory series focuses on a group of superheroes who use them for good rather than exploiting their powers. A group of vigilantes known as boys are determined to bring these supes down while exposing the evil secret organization that manages them.

Based on the comic book series of the same name, "Boys" became one of the most popular streaming series after its first season. Now, as Season 6 of "The Boys" approaches on May 4, there's more to look forward to in the coming years.

Today we featured quite a few festive posts that highlighted the news of Season 5. Kimiko of Fukuhara Karen is seen carving a confirmation on the table with a knife in front of a smile on the camera, an iconic move that won more excitement in the comments.

It's exciting, but it doesn't necessarily mean that a season update is a good thing. And this comes from someone who has been a big fan of "The Boys" since the first episode. You might be thinking: "But we'll get to see the characters again, right?""It's definitely true and a good reason to be excited, but there are some looming concerns that I can't ignore.

The Homelander is one of the characters who will not die, no matter how many chances he has to end him forever.1 Antony Starr has done such an excellent job in playing this evil superhero, and his performance makes me hate homelanders and shiver whenever his creepy smile appears on the screen.

However, there is one problem: the work of "The Boys" has another season 1. He's a very big character,"he can do whatever he wants to do, so the Homelander could fly in Season 5.""This antagonist has made the show incredibly nervous and anxious, but it's worrying that his story will drag on even more," he said. We've seen the boys try to kill him many times, but they fail, give up, try again, and then fail. I'm not the only one who wants to see the homelander get what he deserves.

Revenge on him is satisfying, but Season 5 may feel strange without such a dominant figure (if he ends up dying). It only makes sense to focus on his son Ryan (Cameron Clobetti), as he deals with some increasing inner anger that puts him in a very vulnerable position if they kill his character. They were in the Season 4 trailer, so it's also possible that more Gen V characters will appear in Season 5. This could make up for big deaths such as butcher (Karl Urban) or Homelander.

So it's really a bit of a predicament. The homelander, who died in Season 4, managed to lower the viewership for Season 5, but keeping him alive might drag his story out.

It's painful for me to say this, but "Boys" should end in Season 5. Too many shows are succumbing to the wounds that have been dragged out just for it. For example, I'll take up "The Walking Dead," one of my favorite shows that got worse and worse every season.1 I don't want a good series like "The Boys" to ruin the character and end up following a repetitive story.

Instead, Season 5 should focus on giving each character a well-deserved ending, including the end of Homelander (if, of course, he doesn't die in Season 4). Ending one of the best series in Prime Video will bring the world to life, even when more spin-offs, or even potential movies, come to life.1

For now, we can get excited about "Boys" Season 4. This next season will be available on Prime Video from 6/13.  You can also check out our guide on the best shows to watch while waiting for Season 4.
