Of all the Disney Plus Star Wars shows, "Andor" has consistently received the highest ratings. It has been very popular with viewers and has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards.

All of this has raised high expectations for the show's second season, which will also be its final one. Showrunner Tony Gilroy always planned for "Andor" to end with a second season, which will take place just before the main character Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna, appears in the Star Wars film Rogue One.
