It's time for the final showdown, and Netflix has decided to air the sixth season (15 episodes) of the blockbuster series "Cobra Kai" later this year. [The final season picks up where season 5 left off, with Cobra Kai being expelled from the Valley and Sensei and his students scrambling to compete in the World Championships, a world karate tournament.

While expectations for this new season are high, fans will have to wait a little longer than they probably would like to see what will ultimately happen to Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio), Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), and villain John Cleese (Martin Cove) I'm sure they will.

While it has become fairly common for Netflix to make new seasons of signature series like "Stranger Things" and "Bridgerton" into two parts, the streaming company is trying something new with "Cobra Kai" season 6.

The first five episodes of the final season will debut on July 18 as "Part 1," with the next five episodes debuting on Thanksgiving, November 28, as "Part 2."

The final five episodes will be called "Finale Events" and will be released on an unannounced date in 2025. However, it is expected to be before May 30, 2025, when the new "Karate Kid" film will be released.

Earlier this week, the upcoming "Karate Kid" film was officially postponed from its original December 13, 2024 release to 2025. And now that the final episode of "Cobra Kai" is also set to drop in 2025, it seems confirmed that the events of the film are likely to be set by this final season of the show.

While the exact plot of the new "Karate Kid" film is still a mystery, we do know that Daniel Larusso will be a major character in the film, and hopefully we will know more accurately what to expect from the film as the final season of "Cobra Kai" unfolds
