The year is almost over. Hard to believe, but summer is only a few weeks away. While you're getting ready for some fun in the sun, it's time to enjoy this week's new Netflix content, including the intriguing "Dead Boy Detectives."

"Dead Boy Detectives" follows a pair of, yes, dead boys who have left this world many years apart. They unite in the afterlife and put their brains and brawn together to help the living solve difficult cases involving wicked witches, ghosts, and other strange happenings. The film also features a live-action version of the anime "City Hunter." Ryo Saeba (Ryohei Suzuki), a cleaner and notorious womanizer, is caught up in a mystery surrounding the death of his partner and must work with his partner's sister to unlock the secret of the drug "Angel Dust."

This interesting documentary is all about the lesbian magazine Curve and its 30-year legacy. In the 90s, when coming out was still an embarrassment, Curve took root, changed owners, and worked to expand its LGBTQIA+ readership.

Based on a novel by Swedish author Malin Persson Joliet, the series follows teenagers Billy and Dogge as they become involved in the lives of gang members. When they commit crimes that go too far, questions arise about who is responsible and how to get along in a frightening world where they don't know how to protect themselves.

A live-action adaptation of a popular anime, the film stars Ryo Saeba (Ryohei Suzuki), a "sweeper" who makes his living cleaning up trouble in central Tokyo. When his brother is killed during an investigation, Ryo, along with his sister Kaori (Misato Morita), is determined to get to the bottom of the mysterious "angel dust" drug that connects everything. Ryo is athletic, skilled with a gun, and seems to be able to handle anything. Except, of course, to stay away from beautiful women.

Teenagers Edwin (George Rexstrew) and Charles (Jaden Levri) were born decades apart, but are united by death as they work as mystery-solving ghosts. Having spent 70 years in hell, Edwin's intelligence is unparalleled, and Charles provides the muscle that chooses not to go to the afterlife during death; the two work with clairvoyant Crystal (Cassius Nelson) and friend Nico (Yuyu Kitamura) to solve cases that the rest of the world (the living) will not touch.
