Thanks to this interesting detail, we may be one step closer to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7.

New leaked information has almost confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, which was expected to launch this July, thanks to an interesting but minor detail.

According to SamMobile, a new Samsung wearable with product code SM-L305U has been registered in the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) database. All Bluetooth devices must be registered in the database before they can be made public.

The product code is speculated to be related to the US version of the wearable, specifically the 40mm sized Galaxy Watch 7 with LTE. According to the database, the certification document states that the device has Bluetooth 5.3 (with LE capability), which is the same Bluetooth version used in the Galaxy Watch 6.

While this certification does not say much about the next iteration of the watch, it does indicate that its launch is likely imminent. Rumor has it that Samsung plans to hold another Unpacked event this July, where it will unveil its new flagship wearables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the all-new Samsung Galaxy Ring.

As with previous models, the latest models (along with accompanying variants) are expected to be announced in July and available for purchase in August 2024.

Several rumors have recently circulated regarding the potential specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7. One of the most notable rumors speculates that the new smartwatch will boast enhanced battery life. Another recent rumor suggested that the company is considering a radical redesign and that the possibility of changing to a square display is being "eagerly" considered.

Rumors also suggest a powerful new processor upgrade, which means the new watch could significantly improve speed and stamina. For U.S. users, there is also mention that sleep apnea detection will be added to the device.

Whether any of these significant improvements will be realized in Samsung's latest wearable is not known, but if any of them appear to be true, an early upgrade may be in order for Galaxy Watch enthusiasts. With a new design, significantly improved performance, and potentially more robust battery life, the Galaxy Watch 7 could be a serious improvement over earlier models.
