In Ridley Scott's latest, the legendary director teams up once again with "Gladiator" star Joaquin Phoenix for a biopic about the infamous French emperor who made history with his prowess. [The film follows Napoleon Bonaparte's rise to power in the French Revolution, his military victories, and his courtship and eventual marriage to the wealthy widow Josephine de Beauharnais (Vanessa Kirby). As with previous historical epics produced by Apple Studios, no expense has been spared in depicting his checkered path from a soldier to the Emperor of France and his subsequent downfall.

The film seemed to be a recipe for success, but reviews were divided. Critics and audiences alike praised the acting and set pieces, but said they seemed disjointed and ultimately failed to paint a complete picture of the character. Nevertheless, "Napoleon" is definitely worth watching from the comfort of your own home.

"Airplane" is one of those classic comedies that, aside from a few tiresome moments (such as the seriously questionable "jive" scene), still works well today. This parody of disaster movies draws inspiration from the "Airport" series and "Zero Hour". It also pokes fun at some of the biggest films of the time ("Airplane" was released in 1980), including "Jaws" and "Saturday Night Fever."

The film marked a turning point in Leslie Nielsen's career, catapulting him from drama actor to comedy icon overnight. His portrayal of Dr. Lemak stole the show with his impeccable tongue and straight-man act as the chaos aboard the ship became increasingly absurd. He later appeared in the "Naked Gun" series, playing Lt. Frank Drebin. However, don't call him Shirley.
