If you're new to Max, you may be disappointed that there is no free trial option on the streamer's official website. Additionally, the free trial through Amazon and Hulu ends in 2024. However, there is a way to taste Max for free for a limited time: ...... As long as you have a new Roku.

Currently, if you activate your new Roku, you can try an ad-free version of Max for free for 27 days during a limited promotion period. This is currently scheduled to end in mid-February 2024, but may be extended in the future.

AT&T discontinued its Max free program last year, but its subsidiary Cricket Wireless still offers free Max viewing to customers who subscribe to the highest $60/month unlimited plan. New and existing customers on this plan will receive a free ad-supported subscription to Max as long as they do not change their plan rank.

If you pay for HBO through a cable provider such as Spectrum/Charter, Xfinity, or DirectTV, an ad-free version of Max is already part of your subscription as part of your subscription. To access the service, simply download the Max app on a compatible device and sign in via your TV provider to start streaming.
