Galaxy Unpacked has come to an end and all information about the Galaxy S24 series is finally available. One of the surprises of the day was that the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will be able to upload HDR images to Snapchat and Instagram.

Samsung stated that this is the first time that HDR images can be uploaded to both Instagram and Snapchat. Samsung is ahead of Apple when it comes to app integration on their devices, making this the best choice for influencers around the world.

Normally, uploading photos to an app like Instagram involves a certain amount of compression. However, Dr. Hamid Sheikh, Vice President of Intelligent Imaging at Samsung, stated during the event: "Every photo or video you take or watch, from the moment you snap the content to the moment you post it, will have its full color and contrast . will be displayed in its full range of colors and contrasts"

In photography, HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and refers to the range of light and dark tones within a photo. It is a means of measuring the intensity of light from highlights to shadows. This allows the photograph to appear closer to the human eye.

However, the Galaxy S24 series also includes features other than HDR that apps can use. For example, both Snapchat and Instagram allow for nightography and video stabilization features when taking photos using the apps. While these additional features alone will not make you a better photographer, they are a great start and there are a few tips to go further and improve.

These changes will allow the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra to stand ahead of the best current camera phones when it comes to social photography. In theory, taking a photo in the app will offer the same quality as taking a photo in the native camera app and speed up the entire process by eliminating the need to add photos to the app.
