Samsung's Galaxy Buds Pro 3 missed the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, but is very much "in the works" for later this year, according to a new rumor.

A small tweet by WinFuture's Roland Quandt was sent Monday morning with these words: "Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is coming. That's all. The tweet said. This confirms earlier reports by SamMobile sources who stated in November 2023 that Samsung's answer to the AirPods Pro 2 would appear in 2024.

Unfortunately, neither the earlier report nor today's tweet provide much information on new specs, features, or pricing regarding the upcoming true wireless earbuds.

The word "coming" is open to interpretation. It could mean that they are coming next week, or it could mean that they are really coming anytime.

The original Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro was released in January 2021 and the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 was released in August 2022; while both early February and August seem like likely scenarios for the Buds Pro 3 release date, our guess is February, with a launch price around $249, the same as the AirPods Pro 2.

Given that the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will launch on January 31, it makes sense that Samsung would want to release a comparable new earphone shortly thereafter to capitalize on the buzz. (You can pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S24 model now.)

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 features 24-bit HiFi sound, Bluetooth 5.3, more powerful active noise cancellation (ANC), pressure-relieving design, plus and 3D sound, Bixby voice activation, customizable sound settings, one-tap pairing with Samsung devices, and reverse wireless charging.

We would be surprised if the new Galaxy Buds Pro 3 is anything less, but hopefully we will get exact specs, and perhaps a review model, ASAP.
