Filming resumes for Season 2 of "Severance" - to be released soon!

"Severance" was one of the best shows on Apple TV Plus and we eagerly awaited the day when more episodes would air. Two years have passed since Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger and left us reeling with questions about what would happen next. Thankfully, there seems to be some good news, even if "Severance" Season 2 will not be returning anytime soon.

Ben Stiller (yes, that Ben Stiller) took to Instagram to confirm that production on the show has resumed after being delayed for months by the Hollywood strike. The post featured a black-and-white shot of Severance star Adam Scott running down a hallway with the caption, "Back to work," without revealing much.

Apple TV's social media channels also shared the post, but no further word on when Severance will return or what the new season will be about. It is speculated that the same storyline as Season 1 will continue, with a focus on Mark S., played by Adam Scott.

For those who don't know, Severance follows employees at the fictional biotech company Lumon Industries. Each employee has an implant in their brain that effectively "cuts off their memory" when they come to work. Essentially, employees have no memory of their arrival at work and no memory of their home life.

The official reason for this is to protect Lumon Industries' intellectual property from espionage, but the reality is more sinister. And it only skimmed the surface in the first season.

"Severance" also stars Zach Cherry, Brit Lower, Tramel Tillman, John Turturro, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, Kitchen Luckman, and Tramel Tillman. Season 2 will also feature new characters played by Gwendolyn Christie, Bob Balaban, Merritt Weaver, Alia Shawkat, Robbie Benson, Stefano Caranante, Olafur Dari Olafsson, and John Noble.

Since it is still in production, it is unclear when Season 2 of "Severance" will be available on Apple TV Plus. Hopefully it will be before the end of the year and we won't have to wait years for Season 3 to arrive.
