How to watch "The Walking Dead: Survivors" online: Episode 1 now available

The original show may have faded away like its titular zombies before the series finale in 2022, but the "Walking Dead" franchise has risen from the grave with a spin-off. The latest installment, "The Walking Dead: The One Who Lived," premieres Sunday, February 25, and can be viewed from anywhere with a VPN.

When we last saw Rick Grimes in season 9 of the original series, he sacrificed himself to save those he loved, blowing up a bridge full of walkers and apparently meeting his maker in the process. Later, however, it is revealed that Rick was put on a CRM helicopter and taken to the Civic Republic, a vast civilization run by militias, where he appears at the beginning of "The Ones Who Live."

Meanwhile, Rick's wife Michonne (Danai Gurira), believing (correctly) that he is still alive, leaves the main group to go find the former legal officer. The new series already features an epic love story set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

A number of new cast members also appear, including Terry O'Quinn as Major General Bale and Craig Tate as Lieutenant Colonel Donald Okafor. Pollyanna McIntosh returns as Jadis, the CRM adjutant that Rick rescued when he left the film. For more information on how to watch [The Walking Dead: The One Who Lived] from anywhere, read on.
