SyFy's "Resident Aliens" Season 3 is still on the air, having just begun on Valentine's Day this year. Still, fans can't get enough of it, and the availability of the first two seasons on Netflix has given the sci-fi comedy-drama the ingredients it needed to become a huge hit.

The series tells the story of an alien who crash-lands in a small Colorado town and impersonates local doctor Dr. Harry Vanderspiegel (Alan Tudyk). He is drawn into helping the town and tries to act like a human in the process. However, things get complicated when he realizes that someone has discovered his true identity.

With so much to look forward to in this show, it is no wonder that "Resident Evil" has attracted so many viewers. If you're still not used to waiting for the weekly episodes to see what happens next, here are some other shows like "Resident Evil" that you can binge-watch while you wait.

If you liked the sci-fi elements of "Resident Evil," consider watching "Dark Matter," a show set in the 27th century about a group of six people who wake up on a spaceship called Raza. They don't know who they are or how they got there. They decide to name each other One to Six and find that the only information they have is that the cargo hold is filled with weapons. The team also has a destination, which is a distant mining colony about to become a war zone.

The series was inspired by a graphic novel created by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Marie and published by Dark Horse Comics. The show lasted three seasons and ended in 2017, leaving fans with considerable shock and desire for more. That alone should tell you that the series is well worth watching.

Their encounters are complicated by the coming apocalypse. The series has been nominated for numerous awards, including seven Primetime Emmy Awards, making it a show not to be missed.

This is another show that originally aired on the Syfy channel, featuring three bounty hunters who work for the R.A.C. There is enough comedy throughout without interfering with the show's storyline. Ratings are divided, but if you are their ideal viewer, you will enjoy it all the way through.
