5 of the latest gadgets announced at MWC that you can buy right now

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 has come to an end, and as usual, the mobile device trade show in Barcelona was a showcase for all kinds of exciting and innovative technologies. smartphones, there was no shortage of new announcements at this year's conference.

Even more exciting, we can already get our hands on some of the great products showcased at this year's MWC. We've sorted through the best devices announced at MWC and compiled this list of what's available to buy right now.

Here are the top five gadgets announced at MWC 2024 that are about to go on sale and are available for purchase or pre-order.

Let's start with one of the futuristic devices on display this year: the Humane AI Pin, a wearable smart device that pins to your shirt and can respond to voice commands, answer questions, make phone calls, and take pictures. The laser ink display can also be projected onto the palm of the hand, turning the palm of the hand into a screen.

Humane is being marketed as a smartphone replacement, but after a hands-on at MWC, my colleague Jason explained that it is a handy AI-powered accessory intended to assist with everyday tech needs rather than replace the devices we already use He stated.

The Humane AI Pin starts at $700, and if ordered by March 31, the three-month Humane subscription (normally $24/month) is free. Shipping is scheduled for the end of this month.

After the original OnePlus Watch flopped, many wondered if the company would make a second attempt. However, the OnePlus Watch 2 may be one of the best recovery stories the smartwatch industry has ever seen.

Available for pre-order now for $299, this smartwatch is on a completely different level than its predecessor. Not only does it have a great design that combines elegance and durability, but the integration of RTOS (Real Time Operating System) and Wear OS 4 makes it comparable to popular flagship models like the Google Pixel Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 It has become a thing of the past.

In a review of the OnePlus Watch 2, my colleague Kate said, "Taking a cue from how OnePlus smartphones have improved in recent years, they've fixed everything that was wrong with the original OnePlus Watch and then some." While it still lacks some of the latest smartwatch features like drop detection and LTE support, it has caught up to the best smartwatches in most respects, marking a new start in the OnePlus Watch story.

Xiamoi made several notable announcements at this MWC, but it is their latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 14, that really stole the spotlight. This flagship smartphone stands apart from the rest by successfully packing a premium phone experience into a compact, pocket-friendly form factor.

Sure, 6.36 inches is still quite large for a compact phone, but it's an easy pill to swallow considering how much tech Xiaomi has managed to pack into it, including three 50MP cameras, 90W charging, and a top-of-the-line chipset with 12GB RAM. The Xiaomi 14 shows that you don't have to sacrifice top-notch specs for a smaller phone, rivaling some of the best smartphones on the market today, but a half-inch smaller in size.

Unfortunately, U.S. readers cannot get their hands on it yet, but UK readers can pre-order this great camera phone for £999 ahead of its March 19 launch.

The Galaxy Book 4 series was launched last year exclusively in South Korea, and Samsung is now rolling it out to select global markets. And it's the most impressive offering in the tech giant's PC lineup, boasting a top-of-the-line Intel Ultra chip, Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant, and a generously sized trackpad that comfortably controls the 120Hz AMOLED touchscreen!

The Galaxy S3 is the first of its kind.

Pricing for the Galaxy Book 4 series starts at $1,099 for the base model 360, $1,449 for the Pro, $1,899 for the Pro 360, and $2,399 for the Ultra. The processor and graphics card can be upgraded, but the price will increase accordingly. Note that Samsung will pay up to $800 for the Galaxy Book 4 if you trade in your laptop, phone, or tablet on its website by April 1.

Android tablets have always played second fiddle to Apple's iPad in the tablet arena. However, the Honor Pad 9 has turned the old adage, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

My colleague Jason described the Honor Pad 9 as one of the most iPad-like Android tablets he has ever used. With a sleek and durable design, a gorgeous 12.1" 2.5K display, and super-long battery life that can rival the best iPads, Honor's proprietary MagicOS on Android 13 (combined with the tablet's Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip set) provides a very clean iPad-like experience with the customizability and freedom of the latest Android OS.

And you can get all of that at a price point that really can't be beat: at £349.99, the Honor Pad 9 is £200 less than the iPad 10th generation
