Few dramas are as delicious as FX's "Feud." This Ryan Murphy-produced anthology series premiered in 2017 with the rift between "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane." co-stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford (Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, respectively) but returned in 2024 with the equally flamboyant and poignant "Capote vs. the Swans."

Eight episodes explore the conflict between acclaimed gay writer Truman Capote (a perfect Tom Hollander) and the lunch ladies he befriended, in a 1975 excerpt from Esquire magazine that eventually became his posthumously published novel "Answered Prayers" was a thinly veiled exposé of what would become "Prayers. [Capote's relationship with Babe Paley (Naomi Watts), the consummate fashionista, sees Truman as the love of her life and the only man whose betrayal hurts her. As Babe's fellow swans (Diane Lane, Calista Flockhart, and Chloe Sevigny, who would later split an Emmy Award) vow to freeze Truman out of New York's high society, he struggles with his work, falling further into alcoholism and abusive relationships.

Once you've seen the conclusion of that feud, and reviewed the outstanding fifth hour, which imagines a fictional visit between sulking Capote and writer/civil rights activist James Baldwin (Chris Chalk), here are five more limited series like "Feud" to binge watch.

Like "Feud," this 2019 FX masterpiece spans decades and begins with the ominous tone of a genius nearing the end of his brilliant life, looking back on his greatest loves and greatest mistakes. In this case, that person is influential choreographer and Oscar-winning director Bob Fosse, played by the ever brilliant Sam Rockwell. Michelle Williams stars as four-time Tony Award winner Gwen Verdon in a brilliant lead role, highlighting Verdon's contributions to Fosse's work and their complex family ties.

Williams won an Emmy Award, but Fosse choreographed for her in "Damn Yankees" on Broadway, they had an affair, collaborated behind the scenes as directors of the 1972 film version of "Cabaret," argued over his infidelity, parted company, and her dream play "Chicago" The two actors give captivating performances as the passionate duo who re-tagged professionally for her dream play, Chicago. You will be amazed by Fosse's insecurities, his deep infiltration of the creative process, and the imaginative framing by co-creators Thomas Cale and Steven Levenson. Supporting cast includes Margaret Qualley as Ann Reinking, Kelly Barrett as Liza Minnelli, and Bianca Marroquin as Chita Rivera.

A tumultuous marriage. Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain shine brighter than rhinestones on denim as George Jones, the king of country music, and Tammy Wynette, the queen.Showtime's six-episode biopic follows George and Tammy as they meet in the late '60s, her career on the right track, and by the time he had to save his career, they were each married to someone else. The chemistry between these actors, especially when they get close to the microphone (they each deliver impressive vocals), softens the relentless darkening of the saga: George's drunken rage, Tammy's experiences with misogynist medicine and the men of Music City, their respective addictions, and "the sad song . and the shared belief that when you sing a sad song, you have to live it."

Speaking of which, Tammy rewrote the lyrics to the song that became "Stand By Your Man" and George wrote "He Stopped Loving Her Today" (Shannon's Courage.)

Ewan McGregor won an Emmy for this 2021 Netflix drama (also produced by Murphy), America's first celebrity fashion designer of the 1960s and 1970s The film vividly portrays the Like Capote, Halston, a gay man, reformed himself from a Midwestern son who gave his mother a hat, to Jackie Kennedy's famous pillbox maker, to a sexy, sophisticated global symbol. He, too, listened to women when their husbands wouldn't listen. But instead of entering their space, he created a new space for them in his couture boutique. Liza Minnelli (Krista Rodriguez) was his most trusted muse and confidante.

The five episodes trace Halston's quest for respectability, with the second hour's Battle of Versailles fashion show, led by the ferocious fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert (the divine Kelly Bishop). You'll also get a front row seat to Halston's extravagant tastes, parties, devastating business decisions and relationship with his lover Victor Hugo (Gian Franco Rodriguez). Warning: Streaming this series may make you want to wear ultrasuede and caftans.

The film is not based on the true story of how a Kentucky orphan became a world-class chess superstar in the 1960s. But writer/director Scott Frank's lush 2020 Netflix adaptation of Walter Tevis's novel of the same name will be. Golden Globe winner Anna Taylor-Joy stars as Beth Harmon, a young woman living in a male-dominated world who falls to the dark side of genius - obsession, loneliness, addiction - and triumphs on the other side. Believe me, even if you don't understand chess, her journey, which culminates in a nail-biting tournament in the Soviet Union, is enough to make all seven episodes sweep you off your feet.

"If you appreciate "Feud" as a visual feast, you'll be very pleased with this series: shot largely in Berlin to capture the atmosphere of Cold War spy films of the '50s and '60s, its 11 Emmy Awards include awards for production design, period costumes, Makeup awards were also included.

Anyone who marveled at Holland's performance as Capote will be turned off by Garner's idiosyncratic accent and delivery as Anna, who can be brutally aloof, surprisingly generous, or bossy in different scenes. Anna's bold efforts to achieve the lifestyle she desires will make you wonder at what point "fake it 'til you make it" turns into a crime (hint: unpaid hotel bills) and whether, as Sorokin's lawyer claims, there is a little Anna in all of us Id.
