Netflix will deliver all seasons of "Lost" this year.

"I gotta go back!" is a sentence that will send a tingle down the spine of anyone who watched television in the mid-2000s. Not only is it one of the most iconic lines in "Lost" history, but it's also rather fitting that this hit sci-fi TV show is back on Netflix this summer.

According to What's on Netflix, all six seasons (121 episodes) of "LOST" will hit the world's most popular streaming service on July 1, 2024. This would mark the show's return to Netflix after leaving Netflix and switching to Hulu in January 2018.

According to the same source, a deal has been struck to keep the show on Netflix until January 1, 2026. However, "Lost" is a very engaging show, so it is likely that you will finish watching the entire series in a few weeks.

If you're the impatient type, you can start watching "Lost" right now on Amazon's free streaming service Freevee; all six seasons are available on Freevee, but you'll have to put up with ads.

Otherwise, the entire series is available on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK.

Often cited as a classic example of "watercooler TV,"

in essence, it is a show that people become so engrossed in that they want to discuss it with their friends, family, and work colleagues.

As someone who watched a good portion of this show as it aired (I joined the bandwagon at the beginning of season 3), I can confirm that waiting the seven days between episodes was torture. If there had been an option at the time to instantly click "watch next episode," I would almost certainly have finished the show in a few days.

If you missed "Lost" or have somehow never heard of it, it is a sci-fi mystery drama focusing on the survivors of a plane crash. The passengers wash up on the shore of a tropical island, but soon find themselves stranded in a place filled with dark secrets. Each episode is a flashback to the characters' lives before their stay on the island, as well as to the story set in the present.

What makes "Lost" so fascinating is that virtually every episode opens up a new set of mysteries, and while later seasons have been criticized for failing to provide all the answers, once you start watching, it is hard to stop. The strong cast also includes Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Maggie Grace, Daniel Day Kim, Dominic Monaghan, and Terry O'Quinn, who bring memorable characters to life.

I personally rank "Lost" as one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and yes, I even like the controversial finale. I've already rewatched the entire series several times, and the return to Netflix is the perfect excuse to start all over again. However, I'm not sure I can wait until July, so I guess I'll have to pull out my old "Lost" DVDs.
