Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Image Leaked - It Looks Legit

According to some rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may be coming sooner than expected. However, thanks to several leaked images that claim to show the full scope of Samsung's new handset, we may have already gotten the best look at its upcoming phone.

Posting on the website X, formerly known as Twitter, user David Martin showed off an image of a smartphone that he claims is the unreleased Galaxy S24 Ultra. While such photos should always be viewed with healthy skepticism, the credibility of these particular images was bolstered when Ice Universe, one of the leakers with an excellent track record regarding details of upcoming Samsung devices, vouched for their authenticity in another X post.

The images clearly show a device that looks identical to the recently released Galaxy S24 Ultra renderings. The handset has a flat design on both the front and back, with a design that appears to be made of titanium. On the back is the long-rumored five-camera system, with clearly squared corners.

It is unclear how the device in the photos was obtained or if it is a working unit. However, all indications are that it is a legitimate looking Galaxy S24 Ultra, confirming many of the rumors we have been hearing for months. However, what is hidden inside and whether there are any significant changes to the display cannot be confirmed by the content of these photos.

Galaxy S24 rumors have been growing rapidly in recent weeks as Samsung is reportedly gearing up for its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in January. The Galaxy S24 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and and the smartphone's 6.8-inch screen will reportedly have a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Samsung is also rumored to be replacing one of the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 10MP zoom lenses with a 50MP telephoto lens and may offer a larger main camera sensor.

Notably, image leaks suggest a flat screen design for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This week, another X user, who goes by the handle @roderSuper, said that their source had claimed that Samsung had opted for a screen design with curved bezels around it.If the image leaked to X is the real Galaxy S24 Ultra, then Samsung has instead chosen a flat design would suggest that Samsung had opted for a flat design instead.

Past Ultras have featured curved edges, albeit primarily for aesthetic reasons. That approach makes the bezel smaller and makes the phone appear thinner. However, it can also make it difficult to repair the screen, as the screen could be accidentally touched.

Either way, it won't take long to wait for answers. Samsung is expected to hold its next Unpacked event in January and could announce its Galaxy S24 lineup, including the high-end Galaxy S24 Ultra, by the end of January.
