The OnePlus 12 will be unveiled in China next week, but it seems that OnePlus can't contain itself much longer.OnePlus is known for dropping details about its upcoming products to the community, and over the past week it has reached a new extreme. The latest example is OnePlus revealing the AnTuTuu benchmark scores of its upcoming phones.

The tested handset features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 1TB of storage, and 24GB of RAM, suggesting that the rumors of this configuration were indeed true. 2,333,033 points, the highest AnTuTu score to date, is no surprise. No wonder.

The breakdown is: 533,566 points for the CPU test, 904,961 points for the GPU test, 538,511 points for the memory (RAM) test, and 355,995 points for the UX test. Of course, we did not have a chance to test with the OnePlus 12 ourselves and cannot say anything definitive about these scores before testing.

These numbers don't mean much on their own. It is therefore helpful to know that the iPhone 15 Pro Max scored 1,516,730 on AnTuTu, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra scored 1,530,695, and the OnePlus 11 scored 1,416,461. In other words, the fact that the OnePlus 12 scored over 2 million is quite an incredible feat.

The 24GB of RAM will play a part, but so will the new enhancements to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Qualcomm's reference design phones have seen this new chipset score great scores.

GSMArena notes that the OnePlus 12 also features a larger vapor-cooled thermal management system. This will give it an extra edge in benchmark tests and other high-performance situations.

OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will have some water resistance and has released a video of its performance in wet conditions compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. It is not yet clear if it will have an official IP rating.

We will no doubt get answers to this question and more information after the OnePlus 12 is unveiled in China on December 5. A global launch is expected sometime in January, and OnePlus will confirm details on December 15.
