We have received word that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra (which may be called the Moto Razr Plus in the US) may be available as early as next week And now we know exactly what it will look like thanks to an alleged promo video
The leak shows off the upcoming phone from every possible angle The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 should be worried
The video itself comes courtesy of Evan Blass on Twitter His account has been set to private for a while, but we were able to see the 43-second video and all the details it reveals It includes a complete view of the upcoming foldable design and details about some of its features
Much of the focus here is certainly on the cover display, which is larger than previous Razr foldables Its design is identical to the leaked renderings, with the cover display taking up almost half of the phone's exterior, encasing the rear camera lens in the process
The video promises "everything at a glance" and showcases a bunch of different apps used on the outer display These include Google Maps, Messages, games, and various stylized clock faces Additionally, due to its proximity to the camera, Motorola emphasizes that the screen can also be used as a viewfinder for both lenses
The internal screen has not received much attention, and glimpses of it do not reveal anything of particular note The video does not show any folds in the display, but this is a marketing promotion and does not prove that the actual Moto Razr 40 Ultra has lost its folds
The general design of the phone does not appear to be much different from the Moto Razr 2022 or earlier models The hinge design appears to have had minor changes to the edges, discarding the blocky edges for a more streamlined effect Judging from the video, this means that the open phone will have (mostly) flush and edge-down sides
But apart from that, it would be hard to identify any major changes, especially from this video Even the rather chunky frame is still present around the inner screen
There is also mention of Dolby Atmos sound, which is fairly common in flagships these days, along with a "super smooth" and "incredibly vivid" display The video also refers to the phone as the "Motorola Razr Ultra," which would be at least the third name we've heard for this phone This is going to be very confusing as we get closer to the launch
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has already been subjected to fairly extensive leaks, and right now we seem to know quite a bit about this phone There does seem to be some confusion over the name of the phone
The phone is claimed to start at €1,200 in Europe and will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage Another leak claims that this pricing will be $1,000 for US buyers
A model with 512GB of storage is also expected to be available, and it is speculated that "up to" 12GB of RAM may be available
Cover The display is expected to be 35 inches, the same size as the original iPhone, with a resolution of 1056 x 1066 The inner screen is expected to be at least 676" with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 and a refresh rate of at least 120 Hz; it may go up to 144 Hz like the Razr in 2022, but it is not clear how likely that is
Camera rumors are a bit unclear, with rumors of a 12MP main lens and a 13MP ultrawide, which is disappointing given that the 2022 Razr offered a 50MP camera alongside a 13MP ultrawide shooter The selfie resolution is expected to be 32MP, the same as last year
As for performance, it is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which compares unfavorably to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is expected to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset The battery is expected to be 3,640mAh with a 33W charging speed
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be available next week on June 1 That means it probably won't be long until we know what this foldable has in store for us Until then, be sure to check out the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra hub for the latest news and rumors
