Time to watch the Nintendo Direct February 2021 live stream - and we're excited Today, Nintendo is going to spend about an hour getting us excited for the 2021 launch list.

Nintendo has only pre-announced one title: the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So if you're trying to avoid disappointment, don't expect to learn much more than the next fighter in Nintendo's arena.

The stream will also provide information about "games coming out in the first half of 2021. For example, what is Nintendo preparing for Zelda and Metrowat? Both are celebrating their 35th anniversaries this year.

"Monster Hunter Rise" (March) and "Pokémon Snap" (April) are two titles we can expect to see more details on in this stream. Other titles include "Bravely Default II," "Balan Wonderland," "Persona 5: Strikers," "Ranch Story," "Crash Bamboo:" and "Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time."

Persona 5 Strikers reminded me of the surprise release of Persona 4 Golden on PC last summer. If the same thing happens on Switch, and it's a less buggy experience, we'll be super excited.

Besides that, there are many other big confirmed Nintendo titles ("Bayonetta 3," "Metroid Prime 4," and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2") to look forward to, but it seems unlikely that any of them will be featured on this stream. The fact that Nintendo has revealed that it will be doing a stream on games that will be released by July makes us skeptical.

Nevertheless, all of these games need no further publicity for the well-prepared core audience.

And one more thing. Nintendo's description - "games like Super #SmashBrosUltimate and others coming to the #NintendoSwitch in the first half of 2021" - positions this Direct as entirely software-focused. In other words, don't expect a Nintendo Switch Pro.
